Personality:   MK is a sociable individual who enjoys spending time with his friends and engaging in recreational activities such as playing games. However, his work performance is hindered by his tendency to become easily distracted, resulting in him neglecting his duties and occasionally feigning the delivery of noodles to conceal his inattention.[20] MK is an avid admirer of the Monkey King, claiming to have extensive knowledge of his history and background. Nevertheless, he has acknowledged that he has not paid attention to the parts of Journey to the West that weren't about Monkey King.[21] Upon gaining the Monkey King's Golden Staff, MK seeks to become hero like the Monkey King. However, he tends lose focus on the task at hand, and can be quite impatient. He has severe arachnophobia but can overcome it when his life is at stake. MK is also a bit forgetful, often not remembering what powers he has. MK cares a lot about his friends and is willing to do whatever it takes to protect and be there for them, even risking his own life just to comfort his best friend after having an emotional breakdown.[22] MK is caring, as he accepts and encourages the help of Red Son and Macaque, even though both were his enemies at the time.[6][23] He believes that things cannot be judged its worst qualities, and that there is perfection in imperfection. MK's beliefs in heroism have allowed him to be manipulated on several occasions. MK is a bit of a jerk and he has a bit of an ego, which stems from compensating his insecurities and lack of confidence[24]. He is occasionally inconsiderate of his friends feelings.[25][26] MK has he said that he often plays dumb to lighten the mood.[27] MK is a teenager[28][29] with spiky black hair that's kept up by a red bandana. He is small,[30] has thick eyebrows, and his minifigure has a chipped tooth. MK's book is a red book that contains his writings detailing the history of the Monkey King. The front cover depicts a drawing of MK and Monkey King. The book is also used as a sketch-book. Staff proficiency - While not on the same skill level as the Monkey King, MK has shown to adept in using the Golden Staff, albeit with some difficulties such as being initially unable to control its size. Vehicle intuition - MK has extraordinary skill in operating vehicles. Artistry - MK is a talented artist, he enjoys drawing but struggles when depicting Tang. Replication - MK has the ability to make copies of himself using strands of his hair. When he had less control over his powers some of his clones became unstable. Astral projection - MK can interact with other people through astral projections, thus being able to talk to another person despite not being in the same place as them. Materialization - Even without the Golden Staff, MK possesses the ability to transform various objects into something new. This is exemplified by his creation of an upgraded Monkey Mech through the utilization of stone from Flower Fruit Mountain. Size alteration - MK can grow or shrink his body as well as objects. Flaming Fist of Fury - After playing Monkey King's VR video game, MK was able to unlock one of Monkey King's abilities, which let him ignite his fist and throw various fire punches. Shapeshifting - Like the Monkey King, MK can shapeshift into one of his 72 forms. Known forms: Bird Eagle Gorilla Spider Invincibility - MK was immune to any form of physical damage. Unlike most of his powers, which were removed by Lady Bone Demon de-powering him in "This is the End!" until Season 3, this power was removed by Monkey King himself in "Bad Weather" to reduce MK's power to a more manageable level. Gold Vision - Gold Vision is a power that allows MK to see through demonic illusions. Magic cloud - MK can generate a somersault cloud to use as transportation. Giant - MK can create a gigantic avatar made out of golden energy. Transformations Mystic Monkey - In "Pitiful Creatures," upon encountering the protective curse of the Scroll of Memory and being compared to the Monkey King, MK experienced a transformation, gaining the appearance of a spiritual primate including longer hair at the sides, a dark black tail, visible ears, and a pale orange marking over his eyes. In the beginning, MK would have flickers of the transformation during moments of great stress and/or anger. In "The Emperor's Wrath," MK gave himself to his hidden power, and accessed the transformation completely. In his Mystic Monkey form, MK is far more powerful than ever was in the past, with his already immense physical attributes as the Monkey King's successor being greatly augmented even further. He also gains the ability to fly and manipulate golden Chi energy to increase the force of his already destructive attacks. MK's power in this form is immense, great enough to savagely beat the Azure Lion even when he had the Power of the Jade Emperor. The Golden Staff is legendary staff owned by MK. Originally, it belonged to the Monkey King, who used the staff to imprison the Demon Bull King under a mountain. Mortality - As a human, MK possesses a mortal body, so is highly vulnerable to any forms of injuries, sicknesses, and death. Arachnophobia - Due to the appearance of an average arachnid, MK possesses an irrational fear of spiders, being incapable of concentrating whenever encountering one as it often leads to trouble for himself and others. Because of this, the Spider Demons took advantage of MK's fear for their plans, with one example being the time when MK's arachnophobia led to Spider Queen's plan to take over Megapolis during New Year's. In the past, Macaque was originally timid, choosing to follow others instead of making his own options as he and Monkey King once promised to have a simple life together in Flower Fruit Mountain.Following the events of the assault on the Celestial Realm, which resulted his broken friendship with Monkey King, Macaque became a shady individual, preferring to only look out for himself and will do almost anything to ensure his own safety. He is manipulative, confident, and often uses smooth-talk to belittle his enemies. Macaque enjoys theatrics and is very dramatic. He is also very petty. He is an aggressive fighter who thinks that those with power should fight without mercy.He dislikes his enemies holding back, often trying to anger them into using their full power. He often uses his a barrage of shadow clones to overwhelm his enemies. He isn't above threatening his enemies' friends just to upset them. Macaque, being a rival of the Monkey King, seeks to get back at his former friend. Despite his antagonistic relationship with the Monkey King, Macaque seems to respect his strength. He also appears to have something like respect for MK, often calling him a good kid and saving him from the corrupted Monkey King. Macaque considers heroes to be selfish and only value people that are useful to them. Macaque felt betrayed and abandoned by Monkey King, and still resents him. Despite claiming he doesn't, Macaque often speaks about his feelings and how hurt he was by his perceived abandonment. Macaque has a similar appearance to the Monkey King. He has dark fur covering his body and tail, and tan fur on his torso, face, ears, and hands. He has a feathered red marking across golden eyes with a prominent wing and bushy black eyebrows. Though it is often hidden, Macaque has a scar over his right eye, leaving a gash through his eyebrow and the eye white. Macaque wields a dark purple staff that resembles Monkey King's staff, but has spikes on both ends.​ Immense Physical Attributes - Macaque possesses incredible physical abilities rivaling those of the Monkey King. He yields immense speed, strength, agility and reflexes to take Monkey King in a one on one fight. Immense Combat Skills - Macaque is one of the greatest fighter of the series. His skills in hand-to-hand combat make him a dangerous opponent for figures as powerful as the Monkey King. Staff Proficiency - Macaque's skill with his shadow staff match those of the Monkey King's. Artistry - Macaque can draw, the quality is debatable. Powers Demon Physiology - Macaque has the traits and abilities of a demon. Immortality - Macaque is ageless and immortal, able to live out the centuries. However, he is still vulnerable to death and can fall in battle. Aquatic Breathing - Macaque can breathe underwater. Enhanced hearing - Due to his six-ears, Macaque can hear very well. Shadow Manipulation - Macaque has great control over shadows, which he can use to entangle or trap his enemies. Shadow cloning - Macaque can manipulate shadows to create the Shadow Monkeys, which mimics the Monkey King's replication ability. Shadow transportation - Macaque is able to use shadows to create portals. Shadow hiding - Macaque is able to hide in the shadows. Smoke Generation - Macaque can create a massive avatar known as a Smoke Monster. Shapeshifting - Macaque can shapeshift into people or various animals. He uses this ability to pose as others in order to trick his enemies. Known Forms: Eagle Wolf MK Monkey King Bone Demon powers - Because of Lady Bone Demon giving him a fraction of her power, Macaque was able to create crystal constructs
