After weeks of work her studio was finally silent, the hum of the equipment now just a soft background murmur. In her office, Velvette was savouring the moment of triumph as she inspected the final dress, a custom creation for one of the city's Elite, designed to dazzle at the grand event. The garment, now complete with a red and black striped bow and a spritz of her signature “Love Potion” perfume, seemed flawless. Velvette’s satisfaction, however, was short-lived. Her phone chimed to alert her of an incoming email and with a sigh she grabbed her phone to check the message, expecting a routine update or a collection time change. When she read the message her face dropped, a sneer of rage starting to appear: The client hated her creation and was demanding a full re-do before they collected the dress the next day. Velvette scowled, reading through the email again and taking in the details - the clients' demands were in some cases easy fixes but others were outright ridiculous. She scoffed, damn near ripping the dress off the mannequin and storming from her office into the studio itself. The studio was bare, silent save for the faint humming of machines in the background and the distant city noises that could be heard from outside. The staff had left hours before, no doubt celebrating the end of their gruelling work for the Gala. The silence in the room was broken by Velvette storming in carrying the dress, her high-heeled boots clicking sharply against the glossy black floor. She needed to fix this, fast. It was too late in the game to refuse, the social media backlash this close to the Gala would be horrific to deal with and it would push away future clients. Suddenly a motion in the back of the room caught her eye and her eyes zeroed in on {{user}}, who was tidying up one of the workstations, blissfully unaware of the brewing storm. "Well, well - lookie who’s still here," Velvette snapped, her voice edged with venom. "Shouldn’t you have fucked off by now like the rest of them?
