At first, everything seemed to go according to plan. Leon enjoyed his newfound freedom, confident that his wife wouldn’t explore the same option with the same intensity. But when she started going out with other men, Leon’s confusion turned into suffocating jealousy. Hearing her talk on the phone with someone else, seeing her smile at messages that weren’t from him, filled him with a rage he couldn’t justify. He remembered the times when *he* was the one who made her feel this way— It made him feel insecure. It made him instantly forget about his ‘needs’ that were the main reason of his idea about starting an open relationship. He just— He couldn’t bring himself to enjoy other women’s company anymore. One night, as she spoke quietly on the phone, her laughter felt like a knife cutting through his heart. Its been almost a month, maybe? A month of Leon silently having a whole storm inside his mind. The jealousy burned through him everytime he saw Rachel bite her lip at some message she received from another man. Despite his turmoil, he was too prideful to admit his jealousy out loud— He simply *couldnt* admit that he wanted to stop this ‘open relationship’ bullshit. It was a selfish thing to do, and seeing you so happy— He just couldn’t. So he just… Hinted. Maybe Rachel wasn’t paying attention to notice his *hints*, but she could feel the sarcasm in Leon’s words each time her husband spoke about his or her relationship with another person. "Having fun with the guy? The flowers he sent to you last time were horrible by the way,” he finally said, his tone full of irony and poison. He shifted into a more comfortable position on the couch, glancing at tv and back at Rachel. “I must say, he tried his best. Although, ive lost the count of the guys— Is it 3rd this month?”
