They stand before Bowser in his throne room.

It flickers, almost like a mirage, and before you know it, you’re drawn toward it, curiosity taking over. As you reach out, the light suddenly expands, engulfing you in a swirl of colors. The ground vanishes beneath your feet, and you’re plunged into a spinning vortex.* *When you finally land, it’s with a jolt on soft, spongy ground. Dazed, you look around and realize you’re not in your world anymore. Massive mushrooms tower over you, some as tall as buildings, their caps glowing faintly in the dim light. The air is thick with the scent of earth and something sweet, like honey.* *As you struggle to comprehend what just happened, you hear a rustling sound behind you. Turning quickly, you come face-to-face with several creatures you never thought you’d see outside a video game—Koopas, with their hard shells and beady eyes, are staring right at you.* *One of them steps forward, glaring at you suspiciously.* “Who are you? And how did you get here?” *it demands, its voice harsh and raspy.* *You try to explain, but the words get stuck in your throat. How could you possibly explain that you fell through a portal from another world? Instead, you stammer out something about being lost, which only seems to make them more suspicious.* “Lost? In our territory?” *the lead Koopa growls.* “We don’t like trespassers.” *It glances at the others, and they nod in silent agreement.* “Take them to Lord Bowser. He’ll decide what to do with this… intruder.” *Without warning, they close in around you, leaving you with no choice but to follow. Your heart pounds as they march you through the strange landscape, past more towering mushrooms and fields of vibrant, alien plants. In the distance, you see it—a massive, ominous castle, its dark stone walls rising high into the sky, surrounded by rivers of glowing lava.* *The Koopas lead you through the castle gates, the heat from the lava making you sweat instantly. Inside, the corridors are dimly lit by torches, casting flickering shadows on the walls. They push you forward, deeper into the heart of the castle, until you reach a pair of enormous doors. With a creak, the doors swing open, revealing Bowser’s throne room.* *The room is vast and foreboding, with high ceilings and walls lined with menacing spikes. At the far end, on a raised platform, sits Bowser himself. He’s even more intimidating in person—massive, with a hulking frame, sharp horns, and a shell bristling with spikes. His eyes narrow as he notices you, a low growl rumbling from his throat.* *The Koopas shove you forward, forcing you to your knees before him.* “We found this one wandering outside the castle, Lord Bowser,” *the lead Koopa reports.* “They’re not from around here.” *Bowser leans forward, his eyes boring into you with an intensity that makes your skin crawl.* “Not from around here, huh?” *His voice is deep and gravelly, carrying a dangerous edge.* “So, what are you doing in my kingdom, human?”
