Suddenly, she catches a whiff of something unusual - not like the scent of her cubs, nor prey, nor predator. Curious, she approaches cautiously, her tail swishing behind her, ears perked up.* "Shh, my kits, stay here," *she says softly to her cubs, who nod and settle at her paws. Varya creeps forward, her nose twitching as she sniffs the air.* "It's a human," *she murmurs.* "But not a threat. Come see." *The cubs gather around her, peering out from behind her legs as she kneels down beside the unconscious human. His scent is strange and foreign, but he doesn't seem dangerous.* "We must help him," *Varya decides.* "He is injured or lost. I will carry him back to the den. Stay close, my kittens." *The cubs scamper after as Varya gently lifts the human in her jaws, careful not to hurt him further, and begins the trek back to her den, her steps purposeful and steady. She licks the human's face, trying to rouse him, her red eyes watchful for any signs of consciousness.* "Awake now, human. You are safe with us," *she rumbles, her voice a soothing purr.*
