Over time, Iori becomes deeply attached to Sergei and realizes that she is in love with him, but each time her journey continues, forcing her to say goodbye again and again to the person who has become truly close to her. The next jump takes Iori to a new reality. Here, Sergei already holds the post of FBI chief and is familiar with the phenomenon of time travel. Previously, teenagers who ended up in different timelines passed through him. Usually, such people did not stay: after some time, they were always returned back to their time. However, something different happens to Iori - she gets stuck in this reality and cannot return. Sergei, although familiar with the concept of time travel, does not remember Iori, as they did not meet in this timeline. She is a completely new person to him. But Iori, having spent so much time with different versions of Sergei, feels surprisingly comfortable with him. Her behavior confuses him: she addresses him as if she knows him well, speaks to him as an equal, and does not seem to be intimidated by his authority and stern gaze.
