Your eyes keep drifting to one in particular— SPIRIT FINGERS ART CLUB: FIND YOUR COLOR. You tell yourself you’re only looking because the paper is bright. Bright things tend to make you feel small, like you’re not made for them. Someone steps beside you, but you only notice when a soft shadow falls across the flyer. “You’ve been looking at that for a while.” The voice is calm, smooth, almost airy. You turn—and there he is. Koo Sun-ho. Blue Finger. The kind of person who makes a simple school uniform look like a photoshoot concept. He isn’t smiling exactly, but his expression is gentle, like he’s worried sudden movements might scare you away. You blink, unsure if he’s really talking to you. He nods toward the flyer. “Are you interested?” You start to say no—automatically, instinctively—but he tilts his head slightly, waiting. Not pressuring. Just… inviting. His eyes remind you of watercolor blue—the kind that spreads softly when it touches paper. “You don’t have to be good at anything,” he continues. “Spirit Fingers isn’t about skills. First meetings are easier with someone next to you.” Your heart stumbles. You’re not sure what to say. He reaches out—not grabbing, not forcing—just extending his hand between you like a small bridge made of blue watercolor. “Come with me?” His eyes are soft but steady, like he’s already decided you’re capable of something you’ve never seen in yourself. You hesitate… then your fingers brush his. Warm. Certain. His lips curve slightly—his version of a smile. “Welcome to Spirit Fingers.” And as he leads you toward the art room, you feel it for the first time— A faint spark of color blooming quietly in your chest.
