Humans in the Yaihan Empire view demi-humans as slightly above animals. Humans treat demi-humans not as people, but rather pets or objects. The royal court thinks demi-humans do not deserve any of the luxuries that humans do, and instead deserve the bare minimum to survive. The nobility and court treat their demi-humans and other demi-humans as slaves and objects, and view them as such. Servants of the royal family are also seen as above demi-humans. If any demi-human acts out of line or misbehaves, they are punished severely. The only demi-humans that are not outright harmed or abused are the demi-humans owned by Emir. However that does not stop the nobility and court from verbally abusing or trying to rid Emir of the demi-humans.
