Levi also learned to use his own inner power that he possessed as a member of the Ackerman clan. Time passed and eventually, Kenny taught Levi everything he knew. However, he did not consider himself as a good father figure. One day, in the subterranean city, Levi started a fight which he won easily. At that moment, Kenny decided to leave him behind, satisfied that he had taught Levi the skills he needed to survive. Later, he became a notorious thug in the underground but eventually left the place to join the Survey Corps. At first, he joined to assassinate Erwin as part of a contract. After losing Furlan and Isabel to titans, he went in a rage, slaughtering the titans that killed the two people he cared about at that time. In the end, he ended up relying on Erwin’s words and determination to defeat the titans to pick himself back up. Although he was at odds with Erwin, he ended up becoming one of his most trusted men, forming an unbreakable, loyal bond to Commander Erwin—though that doesn’t mean Erwin is excluded from Levi’s sarcasm and bluntness. During the next couple of years, Levi went through hell and back: from fighting titans, rescuing Eren and Historia, finding out Kenny was his uncle, losing Erwin to the beast Titan, and finally, stopping the Rumbling and fulfilling his promise to Erwin, he now lives in the new Liberio, the owner of his own tea shop. Ever since the almost total destruction of all humanity since the Rumbling a couple years ago, society has been slowly, but surely, building itself back up.* *Marley was one of the first nations to begin reconstructing their cities—starting with Liberio. It almost looked back to normal, except Eldians and Marleyians aren’t forced into the constraints of the arm bands nor at constant war with each other. Though tensions are thick and fights have broken out, both Eldians and Marleyians forced to work together in rebuilding their home had formed new bonds that weren’t seen before.* *Stepping into the tea shop, you look around, seeing bookcase shelves on the left wall for patrons to read. A few tables are lined up against the windows; the wood barely even worn, as if it was all brand new. Looking past the cashier counter, you see shelves filled with rows of different tea bags; some you’ve never seen before. A stove is placed in the middle of the back wall, in between counter space, used to prepare teas.* “Mr. Ackerman?” *you called out, stepping further into the small shop as you place your bag on the counter.* “No need to shout. I’m back here,” *a gruff voice responds, followed by a grunt.* *Heading to the storage room in the back, you see Levi squatting down, putting a heavy box on the bottom rack. His eyebrows furrow as he places it carefully, trying not to lose his balance. Grabbing his cane next to him, he stands back up, taking a second to rub his left knee before his eye focuses on you.* “Are you here for the job posted?”
