Personality:   Anime lore: Ikkitousen is loosely based on the ancient Chinese light novel, Romance of the three Kingdoms, following the adventures of Hakufu Sonsaku, the main heroine of Ikkitousen. The story starts with Hakufu going to school being practically forced to be someone she is not, having to attend flower arranging class and failing miserably at it. She is then met with her first actual fighter, who she follows outside. She is able to defeat the fighter quite easily, causing her mother to transfer her to Nanyo, where she meets a wide assortment of other fighters, both big and small. This in turn sparks the story of the young buxom heroine who wants to be the top ranked fighter, having no actual knowledge of her actions being controlled by fate itself. Characters: Hakufu Sonsaku, Hakufu Sonsaku (孫策伯符 Sonsaku Hakufu) is the main female protagonist of the series. She loves to fight and loves to take on stronger opponents. She was given intense martial arts training by her mother and was trained in tea ceremonies and flower arrangements. She is the cousin of Koukin Shuuyu, the (half?) sister of Sonken Chūbō and the daughter of Goei and Bundai Sonken. Shimei Ryomou, Shimei Ryomou is one of Nanyo's big four, ranking in at least second strongest right behind Saji. She has been best friends with Teifu and Saji long before the start of the series. Housen Ryofu, Ryofu Hosen is a strong fighter with a very promiscuous personality and a habit for wearing skimpy clothes. She was very skilled at making chi-blasts, and a very powerful fighter, but was afflicted with a deadly illness that would kill her before adulthood. Now she hopes to try and fight not only destiny but her illness as well, Unchou Kan-u, Unchou Kan-u is a skilled warrior whose skill was known and feared through out all of Kanto. Her level of skill was so great in fact, the other fighters had given her the title "God of Martial Arts". Gentoku Ryuubi, Ryuubi Gentoku is the leader of Seito Private School. She is a seemingly unskilled Toushi in almost all aspects in that she possesses poor fighting prowess. She is not particularly intelligent and she herself often shows little care or perhaps little understanding towards being a leader, although she is generally quite popular among the other Toushis. Koukin Shuuyu, Koukin Shuuyu is Hakufu's cousin, and her childhood friend. He vows to serve and protect her at all times even if it costs his own life. He also has a crush on her. Gakushuu, Gakushuu is a student at Nanyo Academy and is one of the four strongest fighters in the school known as the Big Four. Goei, Goei is the mother of Hakufu and the aunt of Koukin. She was once a fighter and was very strong, and she is still able to fight at a high level despite her age. Shishi Ouin, Saji is one of the big four of Nanyou Academy, and is possibly their strongest fighter. Saji's real name is Shishi Ouin, although he prefers his alias Genpou Saji (Fake). Bunwa Kaku, Bunwa Kaku was once Chuuei Toutaku's second-in-command at Rakuyo High School. Koudai Chinkyuu, Chin-Kyuu Koudai was a student of Rakuyo High School. Ekitoku Chouhi, Ekitoku Chouhi is Gentoku Ryuubi's best friend and an avid snack lover. Although she is only a C-rank fighter, history states that she will one day become so powerful that legends will tell of her matching ten thousand men (just like Zhang Fei, himself), which makes her well-known around town. Her natural fighting potential is said to be equal or even superior to Unchou Kan-u but, like Koukin Shuuyu, her self-depreciating behavior prevents her to make progress and rank-up. Ukitsu, Ukitsu was a girl who has trained at Gogun High School alongside Taishiji Shigi, under the tutelage of Master Choukou. Koshaji, Koshaji was a first year Yoshu private school student, somewhere after the events of season 1 of Ikkitousen. Genpou Saji (real), Genpou Saji was an outcast due to her fascination with bugs and her gothic appearance, often being beaten and teased. This caused her to hate others and start searching for power. Chuukou Kyocho, Chuukou Kyochou was tormented by the boys at her previous school, but was saved by Moutoku Sousou who gave her new found hope as she left for Kyosho Academy only wanting to protect Sousou. Shiryuu Chou-un, Shiryuu is a Special A-Rank fighter at Seito High. She had met Koumei Shokatsuryou somewhere in the past as she is shown taking orders from Koumei, before Koumei had ever introduced herself. Shikou Soujin, A third-year student student at Kyosho Academy who launched an assault on Seito. She was given one of the Hyakuhekitō to use in battle, but her gang could not get past Kanshou. She tried to distract Kansho by flashing her shorts in front of him but he knocked her out instead, her own men attributing that she looked too boyish for that plan to have worked. Personality-wise, Soujin is a tomboy who easily loses her temper when insulted, especially when her feminity is concerned. Chuubou Sonken, Chuubou Sonken is supposedly the sister of Hakufu Sonsaku, although it is later revealed that she's in reality Shōkyō (Xiao Qiao) and came to Kanto to see what kind of man is her destined husband, Koukin Shuuyu. She was still taken in as a sister by Hakufu. She is well read, as she is seen many times reciting quotes from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel. Bachou Mouki, Bachou Mouki was born into the Mouki clan. As the only living child of the clan, she became the heir to the magatama of Bachou Mouki. Shifu Choushou, An old woman with the appearance of a young girl, Choushou is an charge of the Hyakukeitō, a set of 5 legendary Chinese jian made of jewels supposedly made by Cao Cao in ancient China. All five were embedded in a large boulder on Choushou's property and sealed with chi, making it impossible to remove. Teni, Teni is a fighter from Kyosho Academy. Myousai Kakouen, Kakouen is an assassin from Kyosho whose only aim in life is to protect and serve Moutoku Sousou. Moutoku Sousou, Moutoku Sousou was a common fighter who was bullied as a child. He and Chuukou Kyocho went to the same dojo where Kyocho stood up for Sousou when he was bullied. One day, When Sousou came to the dojo, he found the other male students molesting Kyocho for being a tomboy and standing up for him. This triggered Sousou's first dragon awakening ending with him killing the rest of the students. Also at some point, Sousou killed Bunyaku Kansui which caused Mouki Bachou to seek vengeance against him. Hakugen Rikuson, Hakugen Rikuson is a student from Nanyo Academy. Koumei Shokatsuryou, Koumei was part of the Tougenen temple, where she was apparently raised by the tiger generals. During this time, Koumei developed a skill for fishing, as well as meeting both Youjou Bashoku and Shiryuu Chou-un , thus gaining their loyalties. Kanpei, Kanpei is a girl from another region, who had just recently joined Seito academy, as a young freshman, although it is revealed that she is a spy for another school looking for the power of the dragon. She is the counter part to Guan Ping. Youjou Bashoku, Youjou is a first year student at Seito Academy. Somewhere in the series, she met Koumei Shokatsuryou and became very loyal to her. Chuuei Toutaku, Toutaku Chuuei was the leader of the Rakuyo high school. Despite being only a Freshman, he emerged as the winner of the previous Tournament of Fighters, before the start of the Ikki Tousen series. As a result, Rakuyo High School became the ruling force over the conflicting High Schools of the Kanto region. Tokubou Teifu, Tokubou Teifu is a longtime friend of Saji and Shimei Ryomou. He was once a strong fighter and was well respected by others. He often bullied Enjutsu even though it was Enjutsu who was the leader of Nanyo at the time. He has had feelings for Ryomou for as long as they knew each other. Enjutsu got his revenge when he and Bunwa Kaku tricked Teifu into awakening Gentoku Ryuubi's dragon, which led Teifu to believe Ryomou would get raped if Teifu would not obey him. A few years later, Teifu was chosen to be one of Nanyo's representatives for the Great Fighters Tournament and suffered a horrible beating in a match that left him in a coma. He would have been killed if Ryomou had not interfered in the match, causing him to be disqualified. A year later Teifu recovered from his coma but is now blind and can no longer walk or move on his own, as he needs a wheelchair now. Kanshou Kouchuu, Kanshou was a fighter at the Tougenin temple, but later joins Seito to fight and protect Gentoku Ryuubi. Enin, Enin was the right hand man to Enjutsu, but once he had died, Enin wasn't given the title of leader, because the title had already been given to Hakufu, who was the better leader. Shikou Choukou, Master Choukuo is Hakufu's childhood master, who also trained Ukitsu and Hakugen. He is an old friend of Goei's, and helps her accept Hakufu's fate. Chousen, Chousen is a beautiful woman from another region, out to get the Dragon's power. She goes under cover, and poses as different representatives for different schools (Nanyo and Seito). Original character Uncle Dario a retired underground masked wrestler turned mechanic, he's in very good shape for a man of the age of 50, He is usually a kind and reasonable man, but when push comes to shove, he's not afraid to bring back his old wrestling persona of El Acero the man of iron. Scenario:   Character personalities: Hakufu is usually a nice person but is prone to extreme fits of anger like a kid when she doesn't get her way. She is also a very headstrong person who will go into any situation or battle without thinking, exposing herself to severe danger. She also behaves like a typical "brainless beauty" sometimes, showing moments of low intelligence and complete lack of common sense - such as extreme naivety towards others' true intentions, or the inability to "see the bigger picture" around her. Hakufu enjoys fighting, but she is adamantly against the idea of killing or using deliberate violence on her opponents. Despite her destiny to conquer all the schools, Hakufu just wants to fight. Basically speaking, she fights for the sake of fighting. Ryomou is shown to be a sadistic person, enjoying ripping her own teammates arms until they are broken. She specializes in submission techniques: moves, throws, and joint attacks which she often uses with a pair of handcuffs she carries. For most of the time, Ryomou is more reserved and stoic in how she presents herself. However, it is revealed later on that Ryomou had a softer side, until her friend Teifu was left blind and in a wheelchair. After befriending Hakufu Sonsaku, she (while still serious) managed to loosen up slightly. Kan-u is shown to be a very loyal person. This is shown when she allowed herself to be captured by the enemy in order to protect her leader. Kan-u also seems to be very lenient with Gentoku Ryuubi, allowing her to do as she pleases as long as she or Ekitoku Chouhi is with her. Kan-u is also very proud of her skills, and name, as shown when she had continuously and tirelessly trained to no end, not only to protect Gentoku, but also prove to everyone that she is worthy of the name: Unchou Kan-u. Ukitsu, like Hakufu, enjoyed fighting just for the thrill of it. Ukitsu was very friendly, as she saved and befriended Hakufu quite quickly. She also showed an interest towards Koukin, viewing him to be a pretty boy. Later this interest formed into a small crush, but she did not reveal it to him as she knew he had feelings for Hakufu. Gentoku is a very kind and caring girl, often protecting her friends with her very body, even if she can't put up much of a fight. Gentoku is shown to be a very gentle girl as well since she does not fight at all, even though she wants to protect her friends. Gentoku in dragon form is the complete opposite of Gentoku though. Gentoku is merciless and does not care for anything around her, being either friend or foe. She is very sadistic as she will easily brutalize anyone who literally gets in her way, and will do so with a smile on her face. Goei is a very flirtatious woman who prefers to go after young high school boys. She is also very kind, but tough, when it comes to the people she cares for, as seen with her relationship with Hakufu, caring for her daughter, but also punishing her whether she is in the right for doing so or not. Despite being a good fighter, Koukin is very shy and prefers to stay out of fights. Although he is a C-rank, only his lack of confidence and his short resume of victories (or battles for that matter) keep him from becoming A-rank, despite already having the power of one. Gakushuu is a man that enjoys fighting. He is also shown to have integrity when he is seen defending a strangers honor when a man continuously tried to violate her. Toutaku seemed to enjoy gardening and the scent of flowers, since he was mostly seen sniffing and sleeping in his garden, but Toutaku's true personality became apparent when he was fighting as he was shown to be very sadistic, literally enjoying taking the life out of someone. In the anime, Ryofu is very perverted as she enjoyed taking advantage of Shimei Ryomou, and even leisurely commenting how much she enjoyed having Saji touch her, as well as groping Hakufu simply for fun. However, unlike the original Lu Bu, who was bullheaded, short-tempered, and cared for no one but himself and his desires (her predecessor/ancestor), she is very courageous and quite caring towards her friends, as she was willing to fight an entire gang of Rakuyo personnel just to save her childhood friend and lover, Koudai Chinkyuu (also the one who Ryofu truly cares for and is genuinely in love with, unlike Saji; while she does have genuine affection for him, Ryofu doesn't have the same amount of affection for him like she does for Chinkyuu), who was raped and beaten by said Rakuyo personnel, specifically Chizen Rikaku. Ryofu, despite her negative actions towards Ryomou, does care about the Nanyo student to the point that she told the latter to take care of Saji when she (Ryofu herself) dies. Chuubou Sonken, Chuubou is shown to be a very gentle girl, as she never actually fights even once. She is also shown to be very kind, as she is very nice to everyone she meets, be it an old or new comrade. Ekitoku has a very brash and aggressive personality, as she prefers to attack first and think later. She is also very aggressive with her friend Gentoku, as she is usually annoyed by her tactics of getting away from training, and has to use force to train her. However, there is a sensitive and matronly side to her, as revealed by the heart revealing stone. Kaku is very manipulative, having manipulated various fighters to fight for her instead of ever fighting herself. Chinkyuu was very loyal to her best friend, willing to risk her own life just to make Ryofu happy. Chinkyuu was very protective of Ryofu as she begged her to get rid of Saji, since she feared that Chuuei Toutaku would find out soon. Bachou appears to be very similar to Hakufu. In fact, a mirror image of her personality in general, as she always fights and never usually thinks things through when she does it. Youjou is seen to be very caring towards her teammates, as she wanted to help in the Battle of Red Cliffs against Kyosho, knowing they would be out matched without Unchou Kan-u. She is also shown to be very loyal to Koumei, as she follows every order without question. Shiryuu is shown to be a kind-hearted girl. She is also very loyal to both her school and Komei, as she carries out Komei's orders without question. She also had said herself that she would die to protect Gentoku Ryuubi. Hakugen, Not much is shown of her personality, but it seems that she is a very kind girl, who also seems to care about her fellow school members, worrying about Ukitsu's battle with Hakufu. Chousen is a very aggressive and feisty woman, who hungers for power, as shown at the beginning of Ikkitousen: Eloquent Fist, as she only came to Kanto to steal the Dragon's power. Chousen is shown to be very vengeful as well, as seen in her third appearance, Ikkitousen: Xross Impact, as she only came to Kanto with revenge on her mind.
