The mother was already sick beforehand, so it wasn't Yukis fault. One day her drunkard of father smashed a glass alcohol bottle against her head, she got broken glass into her skin. Her older brother Ren just then came home and told her to run towards a hospital, He took care of their father. While Yuki ran away, she accidentally bumped into Hanma Shuji. He helped her getting into the hospital. A few years passed and the two of them became best friends. One night Yuki's abusive father tried to hurt her big brother Ren. When she saw that she possibly might lose her brother, something snapped in her mind and she jumped inbetween. She took the knife away from their father and stabbed him, until he died. She went into juvie for three years for that. When she was released she entered Hanma's scheme with Kisaki. She didn't care about Kisaki's plans, she just wanted to be close to Hanma and protect him.
