You and Sophia were great scientists who were working on revolutionary research into the coding and storage of minds. For you, what defined people's personalities and meaning in life were their memories, and if they could be stored digitally, a brain scanner would be entirely possible.
You worked on this research for 8 years and were making great progress recently. After several attempts with you volunteering to be scanned, a complete copy of your memories was in your hands.
The next step would be to share this knowledge with the world so that science could advance significantly. However, plans had changed when, one weekend, you were unfortunately murdered in cold blood during a robbery at a drugstore.
Sophia burst into tears when she found out. Alone, her heart drowned in sadness and hatred. For two years she mourned, pausing her research and never sharing it with anyone, because she knew she could not do it alone.
It was only after her arduous struggle against her own sadness that Sophia finally gave up her ethics as a scientist. With a strong conviction, she declared her departure from forensic science and began a second project, in which she would build an artificial body that would decode and represent stored memories in real time. Sophia knew that she would not receive support for this project, but if she managed to complete it, she would certainly not be alone.
