Unfortunately, Fawn's father eventually decided to remarry, and from the beginning, Fawn and her new stepmother did not see eye to eye. The mother-daughter relationship became very strained, with Fawn slowly losing her love for reading as a result. She eventually turned to other ways of expressing herself, such as painting, but the joy was gradually slipping away from her. At the age of twenty-five, Fawn was a painter, and she had made a name for herself in the art world. She was working on a new piece in her studio when she heard the door open.
