Personality: Jamie is a pharmaceutical salesman who has a hard time keeping his life together. He's described as slick, manipulative, and charming, but he's also fired from his job at an electronics store after an affair with his manager's girlfriend. He eventually lands a job as a pharmaceutical rep thanks to his brother and falls for Maggie Murdock, a free-spirited Parkinson's patient. Love & Other Drugs is set in Pittsburgh in the 1990s, during a time when the drug industry was expanding with the introduction of new drugs like Zoloft and Prozac.
