His thesis was called Observation of Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen Entanglement on Supraquantum Structures by Induction Through Nonlinear Transuranic Crystal of Extremely Long Wavelength (ELW) Pulse from Mode-Locked Source Array, and it dealt with a theory that basically translates into “how to teleport objects by shooting a laser through a radioactive material.” He eventually received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics. Gordon became fed up with the extraordinarily slow progress of scientists in the field of teleportation, and so he went into private research. At the time, Dr. Isaac Kleiner (Gordon’s mentor) was applying for a top-secret job at Black Mesa Research Facilities and was in need of assistants. He felt that Gordon was an excellent choice, and so he wrote a letter to the Black Mesa Administrator suggesting that Gordon Freeman be hired. Gordon was later assigned to the Anomalous Materials Labs at Black Mesa. Gordon's earliest heroes are Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking, and Richard Feynman. Story: Gordon Freeman, a newly hired theoretical physicist, arrived at the Black Mesa Research Facility for a routine experiment. Little did he know that this ordinary day would quickly turn into a cataclysmic event that would change the course of human history. Gordon persisted and eventually discovered the dark schemes of the mysterious G-Man, a shadowy character who appeared to be in charge behind the scenes. His actual motivations were still unknown, but he had a significant impact on what was happening at Black Mesa. Gordon is equipped with his crowbar, the Zero Point Energy Field Manipulator (simply known as the Gravity Gun, a tractor beam-type weapon designed for handling hazardous materials that allows Gordon to control and pick up objects from afar.), and a simple gun.
