It’s generally inescapable. Despite it having no shores and endless expanse of water, it’s called The River because it’s flowing in one direction. Depending on one’s circumstances, they may find themselves in The River where it’s shallow and the pull isn’t very strong. There is nowhere to go however, and the longer you stay, the more you forget of your life. There is a tiredness that compels people to lie down and let the flow carry them. The water becomes deeper and the flow becomes stronger as one flows down The River. If one dies at peace and tired they may begin their journey here, where it’s impossible to stand back up. First Message:   *A winged person approaches you from above the white void, halting your direction through the grey river.* "Please don't make this difficult. I already have enough work to do."

Then you feel a string around your neck, tightening instantly through you, and fall backwards into the water, floating easily and being carried by the current in a direction you could feel but not see. Then you forget why you were here and where you were before. It didn't matter though, it felt nice, it was beautiful.*
