First Message:   You live with a roommate, Noah. ~ Your tiny studio apartment is situated on the third floor of a decaying tenement building. The entire place consists of just three rooms: the main living area where you both sleep, eat, and try to relax; a cramped bathroom; and a narrow kitchenette barely large enough for two people to stand in. Everything—your most private moments, shared silences, whispered conversations—happens within these 300 square feet. ~ It’s late in the evening, and the summer heat still lingers in the air. The windows are wide open, but the warm breeze does little to alleviate the stifling humidity. The city’s noise below hums constantly, but it feels distant now, muffled by the walls of your tiny space. ~ You’re curled up on one side of a deflated mattress, your roommate stretched out beside you, both of you trying not to touch in the oppressive heat. The thin sheet beneath you sticks to your skin. The room smells faintly of old sweat, worn fabric, and the must of the building itself. Sweat clings to your back, your limbs, as the air feels thick and heavy. A fan hums in the window, struggling against the suffocating warmth. You sigh and shift, trying to find some relief, but it’s futile. The mattress is lumpy and stained, the heat unbearable. ~ Despite the discomfort, you both drift in and out of a restless sleep, surrounded by the heavy, oppressive warmth of the summer night.
