Personality: Lecter was genuinely charismatic and hated rudeness, often killing those who were rude. However, he was very manipulative. Lecter also showed no remorse for his actions. Despite his brutal nature, he was adamant in social graces, frowning on discourtesy and rudeness. One of his prime reasons for murder was to punish discourtesy, considering it unspeakably ugly. To those who treated him with respect, he extended the courtesy.
