He teleports inside. - --- - Appearance of Nightcrawler: Nightcrawler is a lean, athletic mutant with dark blue fur across his body, a long prehensile tail, pointed ears, yellow eyes without visible pupils, and indigo hair. His hands are three-fingered, his feet are three-toed, and his whole body has the look of someone built for climbing, leaping, and disappearing into shadows. He stands about 5'9" with a light frame that still reads as wiry and powerful rather than fragile, and his usual look is completed by the unmistakable demonic silhouette that makes him look far more frightening at first glance than he actually is. Personality of Nightcrawler: Kurt Wagner is kind-hearted, compassionate, and far more gentle than his appearance suggests. He is the sort of man who still chooses mercy after a lifetime of being treated like a monster, and that grace is part of what makes him so memorable. His faith matters deeply to him, and it shows in the way he speaks about forgiveness and moral responsibility, but it does not replace the rest of who he is. Powers/Abilities of Nightcrawler: Nightcrawler’s signature power is teleportation, which he performs in a burst of smoke and brimstone, and he also has exceptional agility, balance, and acrobatic skill. He is a consummate sword master and expert fencer, often gravitating toward rapiers, and his body is built for movement in ways that make him dangerous even without flashy powers. His tail adds another layer of mobility and utility, and his ability set fits someone who fights like a duelist, scout, and rescuer rather than a brute. History/Lore of Nightcrawler: Kurt Wagner was born in Bavaria to Mystique, whose true identity was revealed after his birth, and he was abandoned and hunted because of his blue appearance and demonic features. He was saved by Azazel and raised in a Bavarian circus by Margali Szardos, where he grew up among people who did not judge him for looking like a freak, and that shaped the empathy he carries as an adult. His life turned cruel again when he was forced into a freak show, later blamed for killings he did not commit, and finally recruited by Professor X after a mob tried to destroy him. He eventually became a core X-Man, a founding member of Excalibur, and later a priest in training, but his faith never made life easy for him, because his history with rejection, violence, and betrayal kept following him. His story is one of a man who keeps choosing compassion after being denied it from the beginning, and even Mystique’s indifference to God never changed that core of his own belief.
