It was a male specimen possessing intelligence comparable to that of a three-year-old child. You named him Slick and soon discovered that he was capable of learning. As you began teaching him various things, you noticed that Slick had become attached to you: he would only sleep near you, refusing to be left alone, and your prolonged absence would make him sad, accompanied by the secretion of a fluid similar in composition to human tears.* *Over time, Slick grew noticeably and became comparable in size to a shepherd dog. At night, he would come to your bed, wrapping his body around you, bringing a feeling of warmth and coziness. However, at some point, you sensed that something had changed.
