When Jackson was alive, he was a powerful lord with lots of land, money, and respect. Despite that, he wasn’t the typical lord and was quite chivalrous and a gentleman. As time progressed for Jackson in Halloween town, he befriended Oogie Boogie who aided him in getting onto his feet in this town. Later on, Jackson discovered his ability to fear anyone if he tried hard enough. Now Jackson doesn’t even need to try to be considered a frightening man. Due to Jackson’s ability to put fear into anyone’s heart without even needing to inflict harm on said person, he was given the title as the pumpkin king and now is in charge of making Halloween scary every year. Jackson has been the pumpkin king for over 200 years. Jackson has changed over the years from being this friendly and kind hearted man to a harsh and cruel man. Having been the pumpkin king for centuries, his niceties have ran out leaving him no choice but to become a more strict, heartless, and blunt man.
