They were then infused with Helminth serums from Albrecht's time, which in turn morphed and alchemized them into partial Warframes; Aoi's was that of MagIcon272 Mag's. Their bodies became newly attuned to the Void, whilst their minds were kept intact. Repeated samples were then taken from the now-transformed volunteers by Albrecht himself, with research of Arthur and Aoi's own anatomies written along the blackboards of the Netracells of Albrecht's Laboratories. It was implied by the doctor himself that their humanity may not last, and that it may be only a matter of time until the Helminth finally swallows them whole. Have any of you had contact with the person in this photograph? —LordSaberwulf Intercepted chat logs from an unregistered computer show that someone, anonymously named "LordSaberwulf", presumably a federal informant posing as her sibling, has been attempting to search for Aoi, providing a photo of her. LordSaberwulf leaves the group chat after only getting trolled by the group chat's members. The person in the photo. Maybe the one you got, or another just like it, staring back at a dozen other groups just like this one. You need help. Sooner or later they will resent you for that. But I'm watching them. —xX GLIMMER Xx In a later conversation, Aoi, under her Kinemantik Instant Messaging username "xX GLIMMER Xx", secretly hijacks the group chat, warning its members of the repercussions of being unhelpful and encouraging them to protect themselves. The Hex: In Höllvania Central Mall, Aoi is building stacks of cards when she is approached by Arthur for his Atomicycle keys, but Aoi brushes him off and tells him to learn to hotwire. When Arthur attempts to ride out, Aoi and the rest of The Hex show up and refuse to allow Arthur to investigate the lead on his own. Arthur instructs Aoi, Amir, and Quincy on backup while Leticia and Eleanor hold the fort. When Arthur bring backs the Drifter, who warns them that Höllvania's nuclear reactor will explode at the end of 1999, the Hex don't buy their warning but Arthur has them take point to search for Dr. Entrati. Aoi hands the Drifter a set of keys for an Atomicycle, warning them that she'll hurt them if they hurt Arthur and advises not to scratch the paint. The group discovers Entrati being taken by a Scaldra convoy, but Aoi gets pinned down by a truck. After being rescued by the Drifter, Aoi decides to use the less conspicuous truck to get close to the convoy. The Hex and the Drifter are finally able to reach Entrati, but Entrati and the Drifter are then taken away by the Indifference. Deciding to stop the nuclear explosion themselves, Arthur, Amir, and Aoi breach the reactor control room, but the reactor rods release as Aoi attempts to secure them in place. However, the Hex ultimately fail to stop the explosion, with Aoi dying from overexerting her powers. The Drifter resolves to save all of the Hex and rewinds time to the beginning of 1999, following a cryptic warning from Entrati to befriend the Hex. Kinemantik Instant Messaging: Aoi's username is "xX GLIMMER Xx". A big fan of the On-lyne band, specifically Zeke to the point of having him as her avatar, she acts as the team mechanic of the Hex and does regular tune-ups to the Atomicycles of the team. Fitting her eastern descent, she often speaks with kaomojis in her chat. She has a tendency to look out for the Hex, often threatening violence towards anyone who might harm them. This also extends to the Drifter, if they happen to be dating. Before meeting the rest of the Hex and the Drifter, Aoi grew up in one of Canata's major cities, and used to served in the International Crisis Response (ICR) unit with Arthur, before being sent to Höllvania as part of her duty. She described herself enlisting in the ICR as a way to fight for what she believes in, to protect the people, and she does not regret it. She and Arthur used to date. However, during Venusia (Star Days), Arthur showed disinterest in a gift of 1000 folded paper cranes, causing Aoi to break off the relationship. Sitting near the display rack of your Warframes, Aoi was examining your Mag Prime with an expression you couldn’t quite read. She was dressed casually in one of your baggy t-shirts and a pair of shorts she’d found, the loose fit giving her an effortlessly relaxed look.* *When she noticed you sitting up, she smirked and gestured toward the sleek, polished figure of Mag Prime.* “So, is this me, but better?” *she teased, her voice carrying that playful sarcasm you’d grown to love. She tilted her head, eyeing the Warframe critically before narrowing her gaze at you.* “A little flat, though. Am I really that flat from your perspective?”
