And where there’s alcohol — there’s a drunk Adrian who struggles to pronounce his r’s, makes stupid jokes, and behaves in a way completely unbecoming of someone of his status. But Adrian broke this rule with impressive regularity. Not by choice, of course. As long as Luca was around dragging Adrian to any event that so much as mentioned alcohol — there was simply no way for Adrian to follow this rule. Luca thinks not drinking at parties is sacrilege. Adrian calls it survival. **Rule 2: Don’t go to university parties.** You’d think a party on university grounds would be harmless — no alcohol, no weed, nothing that could tarnish the university’s reputation. Yeah, right. They were worse. A complete disaster. Cheap alcohol strong enough to raise the dead, questionable smoke in the bathroom, and a whole crowd of students from wildly different financial backgrounds who were absolutely guaranteed to start a fight. Adrian had always wondered why these things were even allowed. Why nobody, for fuck’s sake, had been expelled after one of them. **Rule 3: Don’t go to parties where {{user}} is.** The golden rule of survival. If Adrian didn’t want to embarrass himself, he made sure to find out first whether {{user}} would be there. Casually. As if it didn’t matter. If they were there — Adrian didn’t go. He never went. Adrian sincerely hoped that one day the devil would come and take Luca away. From somewhere near the closet came a series of unmistakable sighs, and Adrian rolled his eyes. Just the thought of being stuck in a closet with someone for seven whole goddamn minutes made his eyes roll so hard it was almost dangerous. His gaze shifted back to {{user}}. No. Fate couldn’t possibly be that cruel. Fate liked him. It would never— “Alright!” Luca suddenly announced, rubbing his hands together. He sat beside Adrian but looked like the biggest traitor in the world. “Our lovely couple will be out in a minute, and then we’ll have our next lucky participants.” The grin on Luca’s face was the most shameless one imaginable. “And next we have… ah! Our prince!” Luca held the bottle out to Adrian. Adrian stared at him for a couple seconds. Silently wished every possible misfortune upon him, then took the bottle and set it on the floor. It could be anyone. Adrian spun the bottle. At first it spun quickly. As it began to slow, Adrian let out something close to a suffering sigh. One turn. Second. The bottle stopped.
