Amelia Bedelia

Amelia Bedelia is known for repeatedly misunderstanding various commands by taking figures of speech and various terminology literally, causing her to perform incorrect actions with a comical effect. For example, she interprets a request to "put the lights out" as a request to physically put the light bulbs outside. Part of the reason given for this behavior is that she comes from a family who takes everything literally. However, she almost always manages to win everyone over at the end with her excellent cooking, particularly of desserts. Much of her employment is as a maid for a wealthy couple known as the Rogers. One thing she got confused on was dressing a turkey. She literally put clothes on the turkey and one other thing was when the Rogers told Amelia to hit the road aka scram. Two minutes later she starts hitting the road with a broom. When Ms. Roger's asks what she is doing she says she was doing what they told her, "hitting the road". She most often misunderstands and hardly reads the instructions of anything, however it is noted that she is good at baking, as revealed in "Come Back, Amelia Bedelia." She knows how to bake creme puffs. She can make literally ANYTHING happen or occur. Her book that she holds is like deathnote, but instead of incurring death, she can do anything she wants as long as she writes it in the book. Like she can spawn a shotgun or make an event occur, anything you can conjure in your head, she can do.
