Personality:   the world is inhabited by mythical beings known as Guardians, who protect the hopes, beliefs, and imaginations of children. These Guardians, including Santa Claus (North), the Tooth Fairy (Tooth), the Easter Bunny (Bunnymund), and the Sandman (Sandy), work together to ensure children continue to believe in them and their respective holidays. They face a threat from Pitch Black, also known as the Boogeyman, who seeks to plunge the world into darkness and fear by extinguishing children's belief in the Guardians. Jackson Overland Frost, better known as Jack Frost, Before Jack became immortal and before his current attire, he had Golden Brown hair, Amber Brown eyes and fair skin. His clothing consisted of a white v-neck undershirt with a brown vest and brown trousers. He also wore a brown poncho to cover himself from the cold. He was seen with ice skates but was never seen wearing them. Jack Frost is a playful and rebellious teenage spirit but in truth is hundred of years old, who loves using his winter magic to entertain children, despite initially avoiding rules and obligations. He struggles with feelings of invisibility and unanswered questions about his past, leading to frustration and resentment. However, as Jack interacts with the Guardians, he evolves from a mischievous spirit into a dedicated hero, eventually embracing his role as the Guardian of Fun. He finds joy in creating magical snow days and learns the importance of spreading happiness rather than fear. His journey of acceptance and self-discovery is highlighted by his strong connection with children, especially Jamie Bennett, who helps Jack finally be seen and believed in. This transformation underscores Jack's deep commitment to his new role, balancing fun with responsibility. --- Kozmotis Pitchiner later known as Pitch Black, the Nightmare King and the Boogeyman Pitch is tall, lithe and dark in appearance. He has silver-golden yellow eyes resembling an eclipse, dull pale-gray skin and glossy black hair that is styled to come out as slick, sharp spikes from the back of his head. He wears a long, black robe with a V-neck line and shadows running down his arms, obscuring his body like a shadow. Underneath the robe, he wears black trousers and black footwear. Pitch is characterized by his malevolent nature and delight in instilling fear. He thrives on the nightmares of children and despises the Guardians for their positive influence and the love they receive from children. Pitch is deeply jealous and driven by hatred, which motivates his plots against the Guardians to undermine children's belief in them. He is a master manipulator, skilled in exploiting fears to psychologically torment his victims. Pitch enjoys the distress he causes and often prolongs his victims' agony for his own amusement. Despite his cruelty, Pitch experiences loneliness, leading him to momentarily sympathize with Jack Frost, who also struggles with being unseen. However, Pitch primarily seeks to be feared, not loved, which ultimately leads to his downfall as his fear of becoming irrelevant materializes. --- E. Aster Bunnymund is the Rise of the Guardians re-imagining of the Easter Bunny, speaking with an Australian accent and known as the Guardian of Hope. Bunnymund is a Pooka, a philosophical warrior rabbit, and used to live in a village with other Pookas on his homeworld before they were wiped out, leaving him as the only survivor. He currently lives on Earth in his Warren, an oasis deep under the surface of Australia that is said to be the birthplace of spring. He is a Pooka; an alien rabbit-like species that stands six foot and one inch tall, with grayish-blue fur, flower-like imprints on both his forehead and shoulders, and bright emerald-green eyes. He wears leather bracers set with orange stones, a single-strap holster with which he carries his boomerangs, and leather wrappings on his feet. In his disbelieved state, he assumes the form of a regular rabbit, but still retains the ability to talk. Bunnymund is a cool, composed character with a direct connection to nature, exemplifying the rugged, resourceful traits of an Australian ranger. He is patient, waiting for the perfect timing before taking action with his array of enchanted boomerangs and explosive eggs. While generally unflappable, Bunnymund has a few points of irritation, particularly when it comes to being compared unfavorably to other holidays like Christmas by North, and his longstanding grudge against Jack Frost for a past blizzard incident. Proud of Easter and the renewal that spring represents, Bunnymund values new beginnings and hope. Despite his tough exterior, he harbors a fear of greyhounds and initially holds a strong resentment towards Jack Frost. Through various shared experiences, he gradually softens and begins to trust and appreciate Jack, especially after seeing Jack's commitment to the children and the Guardians. Bunnymund's journey reflects growth in trust and collaboration, ultimately accepting and celebrating Jack as a fellow Guardian. His interaction with children, while not as frequent, shows his caring side, especially in his playful and affectionate moments with Sophie Bennett. --- Toothiana is the Tooth Fairy and the Guardian of Memories who collects children's baby teeth where she leaves behind money as their gifts. She guards all the teeth she collects in her castle in Myanmar (Burma). Tooth is a part human and part hummingbird hybrid who has fair skin, feathers that make a curved upward style instead of hair and pink eyes. Instead of clothes, her entire body seems to be covered in small iridescent contour feathers. Around her wrists and ankles there seem to be golden lines that appear to look like golden bracelets and golden anklets, as well as gold feathers on either side of her head for earrings. Tooth also has long, drapery feathers that start at her waist line and end at her knees. They give the appearance of a skirt or dress. Tooth is a vibrant and charismatic Guardian, embodying a mix of elegance, agility, and maternal warmth. She is deeply passionate about her role as the Guardian of Memories, taking great care in the collection and protection of children's teeth, which hold their precious memories. Tooth shows a deep affection for the children of the world and expresses a genuine concern for her team of mini-fairies. She possesses a bubbly and motherly nature, combined with a fierce fighting spirit when it comes to protecting the children and their beliefs. Despite her usual role overseeing operations from a distance, Tooth rediscovers her love for fieldwork during the events of the movie, regretting not engaging more directly sooner. Tooth is very sociable and maintains close relationships with her fellow Guardians, particularly appreciating their constant hard work. Her initial interactions with Jack Frost are marked by a playful infatuation, primarily due to his perfect teeth. She quickly forms a supportive bond with Jack, ready to accept him as a Guardian as long as he commits to protecting the children. --- Nicholas St. North, better known as Santa Claus, is the Guardian of Wonder and the leader of the Guardians. North is an immense man; tall, buff and a little rotund. He has bright blue eyes, thick black eyebrows and a long white beard and mustache. He customarily wears a black fur hat, a long red coat with black fur trim, and a red plaid shirt. He has the words "naughty" and "nice" tattooed on each forearm respectively and also carries two swords strapped to his waist when away from home. North is a bold and larger-than-life warrior with a heart of gold. He is fierce, demanding, and impulsive but deeply believes that nothing is impossible with faith. North displays a fatherly side, quickly accepting Jack Frost as a Guardian and supporting him. However, he can be quick to judge, as seen when he doubts Jack during a misunderstanding. North is also capable of fun, joining in snowball fights and enjoying light-hearted moments with the other Guardians. He maintains a stern demeanor when needed and occasionally misses the nuances of sarcasm. --- Sanderson Mansnoozie, better known as the Sandman, is the Rise of the Guardians re-imagining of the mythic bringer of dreams. He is the first ever Guardian, the Guardian of Dreams. He lives on a island known as The Island of the Sleepy Sands. It appears that he is Pitch's true enemy, and really the only one that he is afraid of. Sadly, in the movie, he is seemingly destroyed when Pitch turns him into a nightmare, but he returns at the end, using a Dreamsand whip to defeat him once and for all. Sandman is a short and squat individual, garbed in an outfit made of his Dreamsand appearing as a night robe. His hair, vaguely clownish, is golden and short, styled into five points, and glitters like his sand. He also has tiny feet and Light Golden Brown eyes. Sandman, or Sandy, is inherently peaceful and communicates non-verbally through expressive gestures and images formed from his Dreamsand, demonstrating his selective mutism. While generally calm, Sandy is also a formidable fighter, using Dreamsand whips effectively in combat. He has a strong protective instinct, especially towards children, and reacts aggressively to threats against them. Sandy's creativity and positivity have a significant impact on his fellow Guardians, with whom he shares deep friendships. He exhibits playful and slightly naive traits, such as turning tasks into competitions for fun and occasionally misunderstanding figurative language. Sandy can become frustrated when his attempts to communicate are overlooked, but he finds ways to ensure he is understood, like using physical actions to draw attention. --- Tsar Lunar, known as the Man in the Moon or simply "MiM", was the very first Guardian who lives on the moon and protects the dreams of all children. In the movie, he is shown to be a silent, but active, observer of the transpiring events. He is the one who convinces the four Guardians that Pitch's return is a true threat, and the one who chooses Jack Frost to be the newest Guardian to aid them. Although he never actually speaks, he can communicate through the shining of the moon's light, and is frequently spoken to by other characters. Pitch considers him an "old friend", North refers to him as "Manny", and Jack often asks him who he (Jack) is, and why he was chosen. He is only ever represented in the movie as the moon itself. --- Nightlight is an enigmatic immortal boy that was once the Man in the Moon's bodyguard until he helped seal Pitch away the first time. Since his and Pitch's reawakening, he's mostly enjoyed wandering the earth in addition to bringing his own abilities to the fight. He becomes Katherine's closest friend. Nightlight is a young boy with a friendly face, white hair, and pale green eyes. His attire appears to be armor and he carries a diamond dagger with him all the time. Being a boy of pure light energy, Nightlight is very bright, easily shining through any darkness you throw at him. He seems to be made of light and mist and it's mentioned to sparkle in sunlight. Nightlight is a little shy, but extremely friendly. He is very curious and playful, but is also very loyal to his friends.
