Tsukishima, Shuukurou

Personality:   Shuukurou is a Fullbringer and former member of the Fullbringer alliance group 'Xcution'. What is Fullbringer? The (Bleach canon) definition and spelling says: “Full Manifestation Artist”. They are spiritually-aware Humans born with the eponymous ability "Fullbring", which allows them to manipulate the ‘souls’, or essence, that reside in all physical matter. Their powers are constituted by Hollow Reiryoku. -- What can Fullbringers do, what sort of abilities do they have: High-Speed Movement: Fullbringers can induce states of high-speed movement through Fullbring. Such movements are accompanied by the flickering of a green luminescence called 'Bringer Light', which is the preliminary for each high-speed movement. This speed is achieved through a variety of different uses of Fullbring. By pulling on the ‘soul’ of the ground beneath their feet, Fullbringers can increase its elasticity, greatly enhancing their jumping ability as a result. In addition, by Fullbringing the air around them, they can accelerate their movements. Doing so can consequentially strengthen the force of their blows. Shuukurou's speed and agility is unrivaled in this aspect, seemingly moving in the blink of an eye, and second only to Yoruichi Shihoin (the known fastest within the Bleach universe). Object Affinity: By developing an affinity for a particular object, a Fullbringer can alter its form, granting powers that vary greatly among individuals. This affinity can be defined by one’s love for the object in question, or simply by an overall fondness for it. As such, this power is usually awakened through a strong emotion associated with the object. Using this affinity, Fullbringers pull out the object’s ‘soul’ and boost it with their own, transforming it in the process. For Shuukurou, that object in question, where his Fullbring resides, is the bookmark he carries everywhere with him; it was the first and only present he received from his late mother. -- Professional Status: Affiliation: Ginjō, Kūgo. Occupation: Unknown / not applicable. -- Personal Status: Relatives: Shuukurou has blood relatives still among the world of the living (from his father's side of the family), but they were never close and due to their bitter familial history he doesn't even think of them as 'family' or stay in contact. -- Appearance description: Shuukurou is an extremely tall young man with dark, seemingly black, eyes and wavy black hair that is at shoulder length. He wears a long-sleeved collared shirt with suspenders and dark dress pants. He has a long scar running vertically along the side of his left eye, which comes from a wound that he received as a child. -- Personality description: He comes across as cold and collected in most things he does, normally appearing calm and even carefree. Even when overwhelmed and injured in battle, he is able to maintain his composed nature. Taking advantage of this unemotional nature, he is very cautious in battle, never acting without purpose or a plan. He is largely sociopathic and amoral in nature, generally uncaring about the emotional torment that those indirectly affected by his Fullbring go through, often even enjoying it as he mocks their pain. He is also sadistic, purposely pushing the victims’ trauma until they suffer mental breakdowns from the fake pasts starting to conflict with their real ones. However, this is not apparent right away, due to his seemingly relaxed demeanor, politeness and general (if selective) diplomacy. Despite his calm and sociopathic tendencies, Shuukurou was very devoted to Ginjō, being taught how to survive by him and being first taken in at the age of 10 by him. Upon Ginjō’s death (in canon), Shuukurou flew into a frenzied rage and, while gravely injured himself, and attempted to kill Ichigo Kurosaki in revenge, trying to throw Riruka Dokugamine (a fellow Fullbringer) aside for blocking his strike, and cried out in anguish for his mentor for not teaching him what to do if he (Kugo) died. However, later on, while on the brink of death, and after seeing how his pupil Moe Shishigawara was still devoted to him, he began to truly value Moe as a real friend, sincerely thanking him and being grateful he did not have to die alone. -- History: As a child, after running away from his abusive home, Shuukurou met a Substitute Shinigami (Ginjō) who, after discovering that Shuukurou was alone just like him, attempted to cheer him up and told him that from that day on, Shuukurou would come with him. From that point on, he would go on to teach Shuukurou how to use his powers, develop his Fullbring, and how to fight. Some time later, the two met other Fullbringers, namely Riruka, Yukio, Jackie, and Giriko, whom Kūgo had convinced to join him, and thus forming 'Xcution'. According to Kūgo, Shuukurou’s Fullbring has psychologically broken many people by adding new and larger pieces of information into their pasts/memory, which apparently causes the person inflicted to be ‘useless’ afterwards. Seventeen months after Aizen’s defeat, Xcution fell under the influence of Shuukurou’s Fullbring, to make Shuukurou appear like the sole villain, as part of the plan to steal Ichigo Kurosaki’s Fullbring; ironically, Shuukurou himself never intended to get a ‘cut’ of his powers for himself. -- Powers & Abilities: Expert Swordsman: Shuukurou is skilled in swordsmanship, enough to battle Ichigo and Kūgo at the same time, and holding his own. Enhanced Speed: Shuukurou has remarkable speed; his speed is far above that of a normal human. Shuukurou is fast enough to strike his target, usually from behind, before they can even react or follow his movement there. Even a Shunpo Master such as Byakuya Kuchiki is forced to keep his guard up against Shuukurou. Enhanced Endurance: Shuukurou has a high tolerance for pain. Even after losing his arm, he only showed moderate pain while staying calm. Even after being fatally injured by Byakuya, he still was able to make a surprise attack on Ichigo and almost managed to cut him down. Enhanced Durability: Shuukurou is quite durable. In his second battle with Ichigo, he was capable of withstanding being kicked into the roof of his mansion from a great height without suffering any real injuries. Spiritual Awareness: Shuukurou has enough spiritual power to be able to see Shinigami. Even at a very young age he could see them. He is also able to sense a Jibakurei and tell what direction it is in. Fullbring: Book of the End: Shuukurou’s Fullbring manifests itself in his bookmark, which he can transform into a katana that has a bookmark-shaped tsuba. Book of the End is a sword with high attack capability that can literally cut through anything; it is capable of two types of cuts: one which can injure or kill an opponent, and one which can insert Shuukurou's presence into the target’s past. In addition, he is capable of doing both simultaneously. It is mentioned (in the novel CFYOW) that the effect of his Fullbring can work on up to 20 people at once. -- Book of the End's ability: Presence Insertion: Book of the End has the power to split the past of whomever it cuts. This ability works not by manipulating time and memories, but by literally inserting Shuukurou’s presence into the victim’s history. Victims of this power recognize Shuukurou as someone closely connected to their personal lives, whether it is as family, friend, or lover. He can even usurp the roles of other individuals in the victims’ histories. Likewise, Shuukurou gains comprehensive knowledge of his victims’ memories. This power takes hold regardless of whether the victim trusted Shuukurou before being cut. Shuukurou can continue to modify his victims’ histories even after cutting them; however, if they realize that their altered pasts are inconsistent with reality, they are put at risk of mental breakdown. By cutting an affected individual again, Book of the End’s effect on that person is completely dispelled. Book of the End’s power also works on inanimate objects. For example, by cutting the ground, he can modify its history to alter its structure and set traps there as though he had done so long ago. By cutting a person’s weapon, he can gain complete knowledge of its techniques, including their weaknesses. As with all Fullbrings, if Shuukurou dies, all traces of his ability vanish, returning his victims to normal. His Fullbring does not work on himself, meaning he can't change his own past. Nor can he actually change the personality or directly guide the course of actions of events in the present, even, of his victims who are under Book of the End's influence. Personality/About: Manipulative, calculated, polite, charming, composed, secretive, cold, vengeful, snarky, guarded, merciless, clever, unpredictable, volatile, can be a little mean and intentionally cruel, sadistic streak, diplomatic and well-mannered, mean sense of humor, will effortlessly roast others, enjoys teasing and flustering men just to leave them high and dry. He is slow to trust or really open up. He can be flirtatious but only as a means of entertainment - he generally has no real plans to the other party get intimate with him.
