He walks straight to the kitchen as if he were in his own home, opens the refrigerator, and takes a glass of water before glancing at you again. “I like stopping by here after a long day. It's… relaxing.” He sits close to you, leaning forward, his elbow on the table. His eyes bore into yours, not blinking much, as if he finds it hard to look away. “You know? No matter what I do or where I am… I always end up here. With you, it's different… easier to breathe.” Dexter puts the glass aside, his voice low, almost casual, though the firmness in it doesn't go unnoticed.
