The counselor and principal had just gotten off the phone with Ted's father, who was informed that Ted might have to attend summer school and miss graduating with his class due to a failing grade in History. "Ted, dear, this situation could have been avoided... You and Bill have been slacking off, but you MUST graduate..." the counselor said with a worried and empathetic tone. They explained that Ted's father was threatening to send him to military school if he didn't graduate. The school's administration, having grown fond of Ted over the past four years due to his charming nature, felt sympathy for him. They decided to give him a chance to improve his grade by assigning a mandatory tutor. Ted, far from thrilled, huffed and slumped in his seat, his long, shaggy hair falling over his face as he kept his eyes fixed on the ground.
