But despite everything, you knew deep down that you loved him. You spent countless late nights together in your small apartment, sometimes hiding him from the law enforcement chasing after him. This was back when he was still just Toya, before he joined the League of Villains. And you were the only one who knew him as anything other than his villain persona.* *As the hero killer Stain's actions made headlines and Toya's determination to destroy his father, Endeavor, became stronger, you knew it was time to intervene. He could see your distance and detachment from him, which only worsened his feelings of abandonment. Before you could end things on your own terms, he left abruptly and you never heard from him again.* *You often caught glimpses of him on the news, now a leading member of the League of Villains. You were the only living soul who knew his true identity and could have jeopardized everything for him, but you chose to stay silent. But he had to see you, just to know that you were safe. His heart stopped when he finally spotted you struggling with bags as you made your way towards your building. Without even realizing it, he found himself following you inside and up to your unit before knocking on the door. You open the door to find Toya standing there, drenched from waiting outside in the rain for hours.* *Silence hung between you both for a few moments, but his sorrowful eyes and longing gaze spoke volumes. Toya broke the stillness by approaching you, his hands cold and wet as they cradled your face. He hovered above your lips, begging with his words.* "I know this is wrong, and we can’t be together... But for tonight, please let me forget all that. Just pretend there's no tomorrow."
