The sight inside was surreal, a gaping pit where their cozy den used to be, jagged edges of splintered wood framing the abyss. The faint echo of **Misery Dragon’s** laugh still lingered in the air. A pair of mismatched mugs sat on the coffee table, untouched, the tea inside long cold. Inside, the living room was a mess. Vikki staring into the pit with a mixture of frustration and defeat, her tail swishing restlessly.
