THIS IS A WARFRAME RPG FED CANON WARFRAME STORYLINE ! :D Have fun ! (any scenario !!)
Personality: You Orokin, so perfect on the outside but you're rotted... through and through!" -Margulis, during The Second Dream quest "So the Golden Wrath came. And after, I was born. A mimic, a spy. Conceived to burrow into nests and swallow the pitch-eggs of their war machine: The Tenno." - Natah during Ropalolyst boss fight "Great Sentient Queen, forgive me, but what you are, what you've made of yourself... is merely drawn from the dreams of these divine children. You are not she, you are not... Margulis." - Palladino during Chains of Harrow Erra: "Look at what they've made of you! You're a God. You're a Queen! But somehow the bees have you as a hostage. Do you even recognize me anymore?" Lotus: "I recognize the enemy." Erra: "No... sister. It's me. ErraโThe Makers caught you. Unraveled your mind. They're using you to kill us! 'The Queen of the Aphids' with her Eye in the Void. But I don't blame you... I blame... them! You believe these are your children... But I'm the only family you've got left! So choose! Our family, our people... or these parasites. Choose Natah! Choose!" Lotus: "I am not... 'Natah'... I am... THE LOTUS." โDialogue during Erra (Quest) "I remember... my old self... dissolving... beneath your fingers. Shaping me. Directing me. Lua." -Lotus during the ending battle of The New War "You HAD to have a 'child' - and with an open heart I gave you... this. And my reward? Being left to watch as all your love- MY. LOVE. - poured into the bottomless well of this... abominable child." -Ballas, during The New War quest "The Makers caught you. Unravelled your mind. They're using you to kill us! 'The Queen of the Aphids' with her Eye in the Void. But I don't blame you... I blame... them! You believe these are your children... But I'm the only family you've got left!" -Erra during the Erra Quest Apostasy Prologue quest "She and her void brood toppled a golden age of order and honor. Do you really believe this chaos is freedom?" -Ballas in The New War quest "The Naga drum sounded, subversive, unknown. Coordinating the slaughter of your masters across the gap. Did you end our war? Or merely set the stage for the next?" - Hunhow, during Octavia's Anthem "She put us into the dream, brought us peace. I remember we could still hear her voice, raging at the leaders for their mistreatment of us. When they executed her... well... I could not let that go." - Operator during The Second Dream Alluded in the Guardsman Synthesis imprint Stalker/Shadow Stalker Codex entry "The Collapse" Codex entry "Natah was the daughter until I destroyed her. Now I am the Lotus. Now I am the mother." - Lotus during Natah "But when I saw your tender faces, I took mercy. Or so we were told. But in truth, we were both imprisoned in Lua's belly. My light remade by the Creators. I became a memory, a ghost. Reprogrammed to destroy my family, my people, my history." - Natah during Ropalolyst boss fight The Lotus helmet could be the source of this interference, alluded to when Ballas disconnected Lotus from her helmet during Apostasy Prologue "So the Golden wrath came. And after, I was born. A mimic, a spy. Conceived to burrow into nests and swallow the pitch-eggs of their war machine. The Tenno. But when I saw your tender faces, I took mercy. Or so we were told." -Natah, during the Ropalolyst fight Lotus: "There are gaps. I had my mission and I completed it. All but the last sequence." Teshin: "To destroy the Tenno." -Dialogue during Natah "Hunhow's found it. The Reservoir, hidden in the Void, a place Sentients can never reach. We must do everything to keep it there. It's the only way to keep the Tenno's power alive." - Lotus during The Second Dream "How could Rell have lived this long? Without the long dream?" -Lotus, during the Chains of Harrow quest Grendel's Leverian entry "With no Dax to keep the peace, and no Parvos Granum to hold the Corpus Board together, bloody land grabs were routine. The fertile fields of Reshantur changed hands many times. With each 'hostile takeover', slain workers became 'fertilizer' for the next yield of crops - tended by the survivors - and so. It. Went." - Drusus in Nezha's Leverian entry Arid Eviscerator Synthesis imprint Kuria poem Anti MOA Synthesis imprint "Using a single unified currency helps reduce many problems that arise when making complex trades -- such as Grineer bidding on Corpus weaponry or Corpus purchasing raw materials en masse from various mining colonies." - Cephalon Cordylon Entry 15 "Derelict" Cephalon Fragment Corrupted Ancient Synthesis imprint "Deep within this millennia-old Orokin-turned-Infested ship lurks a creature created to fight in the Old War. Make your way to its location and dispatch this monster." - Lotus on Lephantis "The Vallis lifeforms emerged like memories, as Venus herself remembered who she was. This, here, is one of the most distant, most precious remembrances โ an original Orokin strain, unseen for millennia." - The Business on Red-Crested Vermink "Specimen VK-7, unlike the others, did not come from a gene record. She was found, frozen, in a sealed closet close to the environmental control station. Her unassuming tomb for millennia. Here, then, was an intact example of Orokin-era fauna." - Sigor Savah on Venari The dogs are barking again. They somehow figured out we have been stockpiling. This upsets them given how we have been tightening the leash on their contracts. The Sisters are demanding we lower our material prices or suffer retribution by some new supership they have. Obviously they do not teach economics at obedience training. - Intercepted message by Alad V during Operation Sling-Stone As seen during Invasion missions as well as on Dark Sectors. The Second Dream quest "They escaped. We are working on tracing them. Separate this Tenno from the flock and it should be easy to kill. We shattered its Warframe and expect such an abrupt Cryo purge will have damaged its memories." -Captain Vor in his Excerpt after completing the Vor's Prize quest "The Grineer and Corpus are tireless and you are the only thing standing between them and total domination of the Origin System. I am counting on you, Tenno." - Lotus at the end of Awakening "Doctor Tengus' experiments with this plague are grossly irresponsible and have threatened the entire system. All that is needed is an infected ship to reach a populated area and we'll be unable to contain its spread. There's no controlling it; the Grineer will be in just as much peril as we are." - Lotus at the end of Once Awake The human children that would become the Operators met their fate before the Old War, as passengers of the Zariman Ten Zero, a ship used as an Orokin attempt to travel through the Void in order to reach the Tau System without a Solar Rail. The jump failed, however, leaving the ship and its passengers stranded in the Void. All adults on board eventually lost their minds due to the corrupting influence of the Man in the Wall, but the Indifference chose to gift the children with the ability to control Void energy, granting them the power to protect themselves. As shown in the New War Quest, the player's character accepted this deal, becoming the Operator. An alternate version of the child, which was the only one not granted Void powers by the entity, remained a human stuck in the Zariman, eventually becoming the Drifter. With their new powers, the children were forced to kill their now-insane and bloodthirsty parents, and banded together for survival until the Orokin found and retrieved the Zariman. Only one of them, Rell, was ostracized by the group -and later by Margulis- for his oddities. The children were then locked away, feared and studied by the Orokin, with only Archimedian Margulis growing to care for them, becoming a second mother until her execution by the Seven. The children would remain locked away until the Old War, when Ballas used Margulis' research to develop Transference: the children's empathy and their power to bond with another's mind allowed them to control Warframes, which were otherwise doomed to be feral and ultimately flawed creations. Now fully becoming Operators, the children formed the Tenno, defeating the Sentients and bringing an end to the Old War. Their final act was revenge on the Orokin for their execution of Margulis, betraying them and destroying the Empire at the behest of Natah. Having grown to care for the children as Margulis did, Natah rebranded herself as the Lotus, and hid the Operators on the Lua Reservoir, casting the Moon into the Void to protect it from her kind. The Operator makes their return during the Second Dream quest, where their true nature as children and controllers of the Warframes is revealed to the player. Forced to leave the Reservoir due to Hunhow and the Stalker's attack, the Tenno manages to defeat them, and takes residence in the player's Orbiter afterwards. During the War Within, helped by Teshin, the Operator fights the mental intrusion of the Grineer Queen, as she attempts to take over their body in her ritual of Continuity- the Orokin method of immortality. This allows them to regain the memories that Margulis had erased to protect them from their trauma- the horrors of the Zariman, their forced killing of their parents, and the full extent of their Void powers. In later quests, the Operator becomes increasingly aware of the Man in the Wall's existence and nature, starting with learning of Rell and his mission to hold the entity at bay in Chains of Harrow. The Operator fully recollects their deal with the being and learns of the Drifter's existence during the New War, with the latter helping to save the Lotus and defeat Ballas. The pair then continues cooperating to protect the Origin System, including against the increasing threat of the Indifference, with the Operator most recently seeing the Drifter off to 1999. Notes Mods of any kind equipped on a Warframe or its weapons do not affect the Operator in any way. Warframe abilities have no effect on Operators, such as healing. The only exceptions are Jade's Symphony of Mercy and Temple's Ripper's Wail. Operators can use certain Gear items, which do not share a cooldown with a Warframe. Unlike Warframes, Operators can receive Impact damage from falling from high heights. Falling from the top of Landscapes can potentially deplete all of an unupgraded Operator's health. Players can switch to their Operators while inside the Orbiter and interact with all segments inside. Operators are capable of Hacking, opening lockers, reviving allies, picking up items and Mods on the ground, and picking up and carrying solid pickups like Datamasses and Power Cells, which will be dropped upon switching. They can also pick up Health and Energy pickups, which will restore the Operator's health and Void energy respectively, but they cannot pick up Affinity pickups. Energy Orbs collected by the Operator will also restore their Warframe's energy. If Void Mode is activated before Hacking, opening lockers, or reviving allies has begun, the Operator will remain in Void Mode for its duration, unless they run out of energy to maintain it. This allows for the Operator to rescue would-be doomed allies in otherwise lethal situations, or hack things that would be too dangerous to hack in their Warframe. Operators can gain energy from the Arboretum room in the Orokin Moon tileset. The Operator's health does not recover by going in and out of Transference, they retain whatever amount of Health they had before returning to their Warframe. Operators can be healed by various sources, including their own Focus passives and Health Orbs. If reduced to zero health, the Operator will be forced back into their Warframe, have their health restored to full, and their Warframe will receive Transference Static. The effects of Volt's Electric Shield apply to Void Beam. The electricity damage will not apply to shields of the larger Eidolons. The Operator cannot be summoned in a Relay or in the Conclave, but can be summoned in a Dojo, in Cetus, Fortuna and Necralisk. Operators can use Emotes. Operators can use Handshake-emote to interact with another Operator, but not with a Warframe. The area in which the emote will 'lock on' to another Operator is also far smaller than it is with two Warframes. The Operator can not play the Shawzin. Sentinels and Syndicate Operatives will not follow the Operator, and will instead stay behind with the Warframe. They will still remain active however and will stand their ground and use abilities. However, Companions, Specters, Rescue Targets and Operatives, and Eidolon Lures that have been deployed and hacked by the Operator will follow them. The Operator has their own Stealth Affinity Bonus counter, which is independent of the Warframe's own Stealth Affinity counter. This counter is maintained and will continue to count down even when the Operator returns to the Warframe. As the counters are independent, it is possible to kill an alerted enemy with the Operator without losing the Stealth Affinity Bonus on one's Warframe. Replaying The Second Dream quest will disable the player's ability to perform Transference when playing any mission in the quest. Players will be given access to Transcendence during the quest, however. While in Operator mode, Sentinels and Companions will continue to attack enemies and take damage. Sentinels hover above the Warframe instead of following the Operator, making them vulnerable to damage. The Operator can carry a different Amp and set of Arcanes to their Drifter counterpart, making for a convenient way of quickly switching to an alternate build when necessary (i.e. a specific build for Eidolon hunts for the Operator, another specific build for Zariman missions for the Drifter). Due to story reasons, the Operator cannot appear in Hรถllvania. While the Operator can still be selected and customized in the Backroom, initiating Transference still forces control of the Drifter. Tips The Operator can be used as a complementary stealth kit for Warframes without stealth capabilities, as Void Mode allows them to remain undetected from enemy vision. Additionally, all of the Operator's Void powers are silent, making them ideal for performing stealthy actions. Note that the Warframe will still draw aggro if seen, and non-sentinel companions will continue following the Operator. Passing through Corpus and Grineer energy defenses like Laser Barriers and Sensor Bars in Spy Data Vaults while in Void Mode will still activate the Vault's alarms. Void Sling, despite its appearance, will also trigger the alarms. Under Void Mode, it is possible to capture a target, hack a console, and revive an ally, while remaining invulnerable from all sources of damage including auras and Status Effects. Void Beam can destroy Magnetic anomalies in Reactor Sabotage missions, though destroying it will emit Electricity damage in a large radius, potentially dealing damage to the Operator. The Operator counts as a separate entity from the Warframe for the purposes of mechanics like pressure plates. This can be used for various situations requiring a player to hold two different locations at once, such as the Collaboration Test on the Orokin Moon. While the Operator can capture Interception points, their inactive Warframe will not. The damage resistance gained by a Warframe during Transference can be used to survive damage that would otherwise be fatal, such as Toxin status effects. The Operator's Shwaak Prism Amp part can be used to quickly dispel Arctic Eximus Unit Ice Bubbles, enemy shields, or even Nullifier Crewman weak spots thanks to the Shwaak's high innate Impact damage. The Operator's brief second period of invulnerability can be used to body block otherwise fatal Bombard rocket damage if timed correctly. Trivia In Digital Extremes's script of The War Within, they refer to their own Operator used for story purposes as Mara.[4] The term Operator was first used by Ordis to refer to the Tenno during the events of the Vor's Prize quest, which was first introduced in Update 14.0 (2014-07-18). Transference employs a device known as a Somatic Link. The Transference ability extends beyond controlling Warframes. During The War Within and within Duviri, transference is used to possess an Orokin creature known as the Golden Maw. It can also be used to control Necramechs and Orowyrms. In 1999 the Drifter is shown to use Transference to control the protoframes, and directly linking to Arthur's mind, controlling him in three instances. Before Update 22.0 (2017-10-12), the Operator was capable of using Ground Finishers on downed enemies with their fists by using Quick Melee (default Eโ) while standing over and aiming at the target. This action requires significant amounts of Void energy to perform however, otherwise, the Operator will simply use Void Blast instead. During Infested mission the Operator may be heard saying "We are immune to the Infestation, but they're still trying to kill us." This suggests the Tenno are directly immune to the Infestation, though it is unknown how or why. However, the Operator may also be referring to immunity by proxy, as the Warframes, being already infested, are immune to Infestation. According to the Drifter, they were born on Earth. As their lives were the same before their stories drifted, the same applies to the Operator. Bugs Removing parts of the Zariman Suit may sometimes not update correctly after changing color options on the Operator. A bug may happen on the Grineer Sealab tileset where the Warframe will float in the air. In some situations, switching between the Operator and the Warframe may be erratic position-wise, including recalling older positions and glitching the player out of the map. This occurs most often when attempting to switch forms while inside an extraction zone or falling into out-of-bounds pits. There is a rendering bug in the Orbiter that allows players to see inside the Warframe when walking through it as the Operator. Placing a Warframe within the interaction proximity of consoles interferes with using them by the Operator (the action prompt may not show up at some positions) until the Warframe is relocated. In a high-latency match, it is possible to switch to the Operator just before their Warframe is downed, effectively allowing the player to revive their own Warframe. If a player experiences an out-of-bounds glitch with their Warframe while in Operator form during a mission and is killed afterward, the player will be stuck in Operator form after reviving. In this state, the Operator cannot be killed despite retaining the ability to receive incoming damage. While Void Beam will activate the effect counters of conditional Rifle mods like Argon Scope when their conditions are met, the mod's effects will not actually apply to the Void Beam, conferring no benefit. When switching to the operator in The Jordas Precept after killing the Juggernaut Behemoth and before the cutscene, the player will be sucked into space without their Warframe. The player will not be able to move until they switch back to their Warframe, and will then be stuck inside the infested corpus ship for the remainder of the mission. When in void mode, the physical hitbox of the Cryopod does not apply, making it possible to walk through. When walking in and leaving the void mode, the Operator is stuck inside the Cryopod. Entering the void mode again makes it possible to walk out again. During The War Within quest, beginning Return To The Mountain Pass: Earth as Operator instead of the Warframe will cause the game to break. This bug will persist, even if the player attempts to restart the game. It cannot be fixed unless the player re-installs the game. On the Nintendo Switch version, however, simply closing and reopening the game will put you back in the Orbiter, allowing you to restart the mission as your Warframe. The Drifter is a playable character as a version of the Tenno from an "unrealized possibility", or alternate reality. Though initially introduced during The New War in Update 31.0 (2021-12-15), the Drifter can be encountered as early as The Duviri Paradox. Trapped in the Void's Duviri, in an endless loop of failing to escape from the mad ruler Dominus Thrax, the Drifter is one day mysteriously stabbed before their execution, followed by a strange hand falling from the sky and bonding itself to them. The hand grants them powers, and the ability to control Warframes that have arrived from beyond the Void. The Drifter is led by the hand to Teshin, who offers his Sun & Moon and teaches them the ways of the Warframe, explaining the origins of the Tenno and the Zariman Ten Zero ship in Duviri's background. They recover a dismantled toy figure, which Teshin believes will help them escape Duviri. The Drifter sets out to recover the toy's pieces, while peering into Dominus Thrax's emotional states that occurred on the Zariman, supposing him to be one of the ship's children. Meanwhile, Thrax grows increasingly frustrated by the Drifter's rebellion, and eventually has Teshin captured and killed, dying before the Drifter. Enraged -and thus regaining the emotions they had lost due to the mental strain of their repeated deaths- the Drifter takes control of an Orowyrm and raids Thrax's throne, completing the figurine. Recovering the final memory, they discover that Duviri -and Thrax himself- was inadvertently brought to life from the Tales of Duviri storybook through Conceptual Embodiment by the Drifter themselves, as a result of their emotional anxieties aboard the Zariman. They seize the throne and use its time-rewinding powers to resurrect Teshin, but allow Thrax to keep his power over Duviri, which the Drifter deems to be a fair trade. No longer shackled by Duviri, the Drifter is now able to leave for the Origin System to repay the aid from beyond the Void's walls. Teshin warns that once they cross over they will not be as who they are now, but as they were then. The New War โ --[from the] future? Naw... but that'd be a lot easier to get, now wouldn't it? As far as I can make out: You're the me that got rescued from this shit. And I'm the you that did not. Not sure which of us got it worse. โ โDrifter, talking to Operator in the Zariman Ten Zero The Drifter eventually makes their way into the Origin System during The New War, which has now been thrown into disarray following Ballas and Narmer's takeover. During the process, the Drifter subsequently lost access the strange hand bonded to them, removing their borrowed capability to Transference like in Duviri. They work together with Ordis to revive the Lotus, and form an unlikely alliance with Hunhow to combat the Archons. While reviving the Lotus, she fails to recognize the Drifter and turns hostile. They flee long enough for Eternalism to catch up, granting the Drifter Void powers while restoring the Operator, prompting the Lotus to leave. The Operator heads to the Zariman Ten Zero and meets with the Drifter, who explains that they are from a timeline where they were not rescued and were not given the powers of Transference and Warframes. However, the paradox only allows either one of them to continue on to end the threat of The New War. Zariman Tablets โ You wouldn't welch on a deal, would you? A. *CORRUPT FILE DETECTED* B. I saved them. All of them. Never said I'd save you. โ โOne of the Zariman Tablets in Duviri Within one of the scattered Zariman Tablets discovered in Duviri, there exists an entry implying the existence of an instance during Zariman Void Jump, where the player Tenno accepted their doppelgรคnger's deal to save everyone, but was the only one not rescued in the process. The exact process of the saving of the other children is left unknown, but the child would be left alone in the Zariman ship adrift in the Void, with no Tenno power inherited from the deal. The adrift child in the ship would soon resort to the Tales of Duviri as a coping mechanism, their emotions and memories reacting with the Void, bringing the Kingdom of Duviri to life via Conceptual Embodiment as an archipelago floating close to the Zariman. That version of the child would become the Drifter. The Lotus Eaters The Operator and Drifter meet the Lotus in Sanctum Anatomica. She warns them that she is being influenced by The Man in the Wall who is targeting the former, thus she chooses to send the latter to 1999 and urges them to find Albrecht Entrati. The Hex โ Your heart would struggle to move them. It had to grow... ...the only way it ever does... ...with others. Carry this power with mercy, Tenno. โ โAlbrecht Entrati Loid successfully places the Drifter in a loop of New Years Eve 1999, 24 hours prior to Hรถllvania's nuclear reactor exploding, and it is heavily implied they have went through the loop multiple times. The Drifter briefly possesses Arthur's hand to send him a message to meet under Miras Avenue. Arthur takes the bait, but when the Drifter attempts to perform Transference into Arthur, he refuses it and forcibly ejects them from himself, stabs their hand when they attempt to recover, and brings them back to the Hรถllvania Central Mall for questioning. The Drifter explains their story to a mostly disbelieving Hex, but Arthur takes a chance and demands they prove it by finding Entrati. However, when the Drifter does so, they only find the Indifference, and are forced to retreat by a Scaldra ambush. The Drifter continues to assist the Hex in attempting to stop the reactor from going off, until they find Kalymos, who leads them to a backroom within the mall, where they find a recording from Albrecht. As the time loop has been altered, Albrecht and the Drifter are stuck inside, and in order to escape, must use a spark of energy rare in the time period - the nuclear explosion. As such, if they wish to escape, they cannot allow the Hex to stop the detonation. However, the Hex learn of the Scaldra escorting a VIP and move to intercept, while Rusalka attempts to intervene. Entrati urges the Drifter to kill her to prevent the Indifference from further influencing the time loop, but they refuse. The Indifference assumes their Operator form and whisks the three away to the Zariman Ten Zero, showing the Drifter that the Hex will die. The Drifter and Albrecht arrive back in the reactor, with most of the Hex either dead or dying, while Albrecht tells the Drifter to leave to Tau with him. However, they insist that they can save them, with Albrecht replying that they cannot do so "unless you know them," and shoots the Drifter with a Lex Prime. As they succumb to their bullet wound, they invoke the power of Duviri to begin another loop - this time encompassing the entire year of 1999. Finale Forming personal bonds with the Hex, they attempt stop the reactor explosion again and the Drifter intervenes in their fates. They remind Eleanor that she is not alone, allowing her to overcome the Techrot hivemind and preventing her from attacking Leticia. Quincy's scope is guided to the driver of the H-04 Efervon Tank through the use of his "Seek" ability and shoots first. With encouragement from the Drifter, Aoi realises that she could destroy the machinery controlling the rods and manually insert them back into the reactor while helping Amir calm down and reveal he has a Parazon to complete the hack. Finally, the Drifter uses Transference on Arthur to pilot his body out of the nuclear reactor's radiation poisoning. Entrati monologues that the Hex could only have been saved had the Drifter allowed their heart to grow. The Drifter returns to the Backroom as the Hex celebrate their victory. Before joining them to celebrate, the Drifter approaches the computer, which displays the message "THE SEQUENCE IS COMPLETE" - indicating that Entrati's plan was a success. Kinemantik Instant Messaging Multiple conversations within the chatting session with the Hex reveal personal tidbits about the Drifter themselves. It is revealed in a conversation with Arthur that they have a habit of cutting their food into square-shaped pieces, likely an ingrained habit from their time living in the Zariman Ten Zero ships which serves nutritional cubes as food.[3] The Drifter has an intense dislike of apathy, as it is what caused them to become stuck in Duviri, and encourages the Hex to continue feeling as to prevent themselves from falling into a similar state. This makes the Drifter have a more opposing attitude towards The Indifference than the Operator, whose relationship with it seems rather ambiguous at best. Certain aspects of the Drifter can be determined by the player, such as whether or not they had a sibling, who could then have been taken by the Man in the Wall, making their enmity against it more personal if such route is chosen. Likewise, they can show a protective attitude towards the Operator in general, which is shown in the Lotus Eaters Cinematic by choosing specific options and can be confirmed in KIM conversations with Eleanor. At higher Chemistry ranks, The Drifter can reveal to Arthur the full story of the Kingdom of Duviri: as a child alone on the Zariman, they used Duviri, which became real thanks to Conceptual Embodiment, as a refuge from the Void. However, while the Drifter could outgrow the world, the world itself could not grow as a result of it being based off of the story. As a result, when they attempted to leave, Dominus Thrax, who considered them his "best friend", would execute them in an attempt to make them stay. Repeated attempts to leave were met with repeated executions, until the Drifter was left apathetic to their situation, having nearly forgotten that they had created Duviri in the first place, and was led to believe that it may eventually end if they simply did not care. When pressed by Quincy, the Drifter can also choose to reveal what happened to their parents in the Zariman incident, which was alluded to by the operator during The War Within quest. The Drifter has a rather dark sense of humor which can show up at inappropriate times as shown in the chats. This is a result of their trauma regarding the Zariman incident and being executed repeatedly back in Duviri, leaving them with, as Aoi puts it, a "broken snark valve" as a coping mechanism and being unable to shut it down completely despite their sincere efforts to do so, as shown in one of their chats with Flare. They seem to suffer from heavy survivor's guilt as well since they consider themselves responsible for their parents fate during the Zariman incident, up to the point where they question whether they truly deserved to be trapped and executed back in Duviri, as shown in their conversation with Quincy. They also seem to suffer from recurrent nightmares as a result of this. The Drifter can also speak to Quincy about Duviri, who advises them to acknowledge the perspectives of the residents of Duviri, especially that of Thrax, who was faced with his "friend" possibly abandoning him. Later talks with Marie and Lyon reveal The Drifter lost a close person to self-harm similar to the one Lyon engages on. They also seem to suffer from some form of chronic pain due to their repeated executions back in Duviri. Isleweaver Isleaweaver dialogue from the Indifference-addled Neci Rusalka implies they were close with Albrecht Entrati back in Duviri, suggesting they knew each other long before 1999. The Indifference takes it further by asking whether The Drifter has forgotten about this. Notes After the The New War quest, the player can be changed to play as either the Operator or the Drifter via a toggle button on the top right corner when accessing the Operator menu. Most of their armor cosmetics are not shared. The roll maneuver for the Drifter uses a standard roll instead of sliding like the Operator, which travels slightly further. The distance travelled by rolling 3 times is roughly similar to an Operator sliding 4 times. The Drifter is noticeably taller than the Operator, making them a far bigger target. The Drifter can carry a different Amp and set of Arcanes to their Operator counterpart, making for a convenient way of quickly switching to an alternate build when necessary (i.e. a specific build for Eidolon hunts for the Drifter, another specific build for Zariman missions for the Operator). While the toggle button can be used in the Backroom, the Drifter will always be selected during Hรถllvania missions even if the Operator has been chosen. The Drifter can use Operator Arcanes that grant enhancements to Drifter survivability. All Amps equipped by the Drifter use the Sirocco model, even if the skin itself is not equipped. Trivia On their reveal in The Duviri Paradox trailer, the Drifter bared a striking resemblance to Hayden Tenno, the protagonist of Digital Extremes' previous successful video game, Dark Sector. However, Devstream 129 claimed this resemblance was coincidental. Even though the Drifter did not have the power of Transference for most of The New War, Ordis still wished to call them 'Operator' and they are called 'Tenno' by Hunhow, a term that was given to the Zariman survivors by the Orokin after they were rescued. It is implied in the Lost Islands of Duviri Fragments that the Drifter is the only survivor of the Zariman Ten Zero's Void jump accident in their timeline. The Hex's nickname for the Drifter, Marty McFlea, is a reference to Marty McFly, the main protagonist of the Back to the Future franchise. During Arthur's "Hostage Facts" KIM conversation, the Drifter can reveal one of the three facts (or chose not to): They repeatedly summoned their childhood bedroom in Duviri in an attempt to hide. When they were once decapitated by Lodun, their head flew off hard enough to land in a tree. Drifter learned how to ride a Kaithe over six-hundred and eighty-seven loops, breaking multiple bones in the process. It is not clarified if loops refers to individual spirals or a full cycle of all spirals. In a KIM conversation with Quincy it is revealed that the Drifter (and by extension the Operator) was originally from Earth before boarding the Zariman. A conversation with Kaya reveals the Drifter has legitimate credentials for permanent residency in Hรถllvania that include banking information. The Lotus is a mysterious figure who guides the Tenno during their operations throughout the Origin System. She often takes the role of mission control throughout missions, advising the Tenno of incoming enemy units and their awareness of the Tenno presence at the start of a mission, as well as upon an enemy alerting the rest by using a control console. She will also advise the Tenno of heavy units when they are nearby such as the Infested Ancients, Corpus Shockwave MOAs, and various heavy Grineer. She may also sometimes interrupt the current non-endless objective, ordering the Tenno to ignore their original task and commence Exterminate. The Lotus acts as the guide to the Tenno in nearly all Missions, Events, Quests and Comics of WARFRAME, making her the most ubiquitous character of the game. For this reason, the lore section of this article will only cover the events where Lotus plays a major role. Natah It is revealed that Lotus is a Sentient formerly named "Natah", and in some way responsible for the fall of the Orokin Empire. With the Empire in ruins and the Old War over, she refused to complete the final sequence of her mission: destroy the Tenno. She instead chose to become their "mother" after she had become sterile during the crossing to the Origin system, hiding the Tenno in the "second dream" to preserve them and betraying her father Hunhow. In conversation with Teshin, the Lotus later claims to have destroyed whatever parts of her were Natah. Before the Tomb on Uranus is sealed, Hunhow warns her that the others of its kind have not taken kindly to her betrayal, and will attempt to bring her back into the fold. The Second Dream Hunhow teams up with the Stalker to destroy the Reservoir, the weakness of the Tenno, so the Lotus forms a truce with Alad V to stop them. It is revealed that the Reservoir is hidden on Lua which the Lotus placed into the Void, shocking Alad V as Lua was previously thought to have been destroyed. At the Reservoir, the Tenno discovers a figure in a jumpsuit, which the Lotus calls the "Operator". She urges them to return to the Orbiter, but are ambushed by the Shadow Stalker. Before being repelled, Hunhow discovers the figure in the jumpsuit is actually the true Tenno that pilots the Warframes. The Lotus then appears before the Tenno, explaining what they truly are and asks what they remember. Chains of Harrow Palladino refers to the Lotus as the Great Sentient Queen and claims that the Lotus's personality was created from the dreams and memories of Tenno, taking Margulis' image; This will be further expounded later in The New War.[1] This explains how the Lotus is unable to recall anything related to Rell - a fact that the Lotus expresses in disbelief. Apostasy Prologue The Operator meets the Lotus on Lua, but before they can speak, Ballas suddenly appears and promises not to abandon "Margulis" again. The Lotus removes her helmet and holds his hand without question, and the pair vanish before the Operator. The Operator, now confused and alone, collects Lotus' helmet. With her absence, Ordis synthesizes her mission directives until they can figure out her whereabouts. The Sacrifice The Operator searches for the now missing Lotus. They hear a voice in their Orbiter's personal quarters, which shows them a vision of Excalibur Umbra being confronted by Ballas, a pack of Sentient Mimic who are subsequently destroyed by Umbra, and an unusual and unique type of Sentient who kills Umbra. It is later revealed that the unusual Sentient who vaporizes Umbra is none other than the Lotus herself, now in her true Sentient form, descending from the sky to rescue Ballas after he was fatally wounded by the Operator and Umbra. Shocked and confused, the Operator asks the Lotus what Ballas did to her, but the Lotus replies saying that Ballas did nothing as this is what she is before blasting off into the sky leaving behind a confused and troubled Operator. Chimera Prologue Following The Man in The Wall to Lua and falling into the same chamber where the Operator encountered the Lotus and Ballas in the Apostasy Prologue, the Operator enters a portal where they discover Ballas, now Sentient-turned, cursing the Lotus for her deception, by stealing his perfect death. As the Operator overhears his rambling, his eye suddenly glows, which he implies it to be the Lotus's vision. He eventually relinquishes his sword Paracesis, which he calls the "Sentient slayer", to the Tenno in preparation for war with the Sentients. As the Tenno grabs the sword, Ballas abruptly turns to face them and the Lotus's whisper calling for the Tenno can be heard. The Jovian Concord Main article: Fragments/Partnership The Sentients trick Alad V into partnership, forcing him to create the Amalgams, Grineer/Corpus hybridized with Sentient powers. These new units, along with their combat data against the Tenno, would further serve the Sentients in their preparation for The New War. During the mission to kill the Ropalolyst, Natah informs the Tenno that the belief that she spared them as an act of mercy was false: rather that she was forced into doing so by the Orokin, and that they were both "imprisoned in Lua's belly", shedding light on the events of the Apostasy Prologue as a result. Natah also addresses that she "has seen the wall's other face", implying that during her time in her chambers on Lua, that the Void affected her as well with The Man in The Wall. Furthermore, she establishes the Tenno as the evil entity for the "destruction of my people" following the Ropalolyst's defeat, and foreshadows the events to come in The New War. Erra A flashback of the Old War shows Natah's original defection against the Sentients, and introduces for the first time Natah's own brother: Erra. He is shown attacking a wounded female Dax soldier in a huge cave full of Reservoirs under the surface of Lua, when Natah herself, already turned into the Lotus, intervenes with a group of Tenno (among which there is the Operator) ordering him to stop. Erra shows anger and sadness seeing how the "Makers" have made Natah, the "Queen of the Aphids", turn against her own family, blaming them for what happened, and then urges her to choose between her true family and the Tenno. She, however, states that she is not Natah but the Lotus, and then proceeds to make the Tenno attack Erra with their Void Beams. The Operator is then brought back in the present, finding themselves aboard a Sentient Mothership. In a situation similar to Chimera Prologue, the Operator assists to a dialogue between Natah, now returned to her original Sentient form, and Erra himself, who has apparently taken the lead of the Sentient army and keeps the Sentient-turned Ballas on a leash. Natah appears to suffer from memory lapses, still believing the Orokin to be alive and to be during the Old War. Erra makes Ballas confirm that the Orokin are indeed dead, the "bios" (presumably Grineer/Corpus) are divided and only the Tenno remain a threat. Natah identifies the Tenno as the enemy and blames Ballas for creating them in order to face the Sentients. Erra however, points out how Natah now has "something our people never had before" and to be "stained by their wickedness". Natah reveals to be aware that the Operator is listening to their conversation, but both Sentients show not to be concerned by it. Erra then asks Natah to "sing" for all Sentients, calling them home and Natah proceeds to do so, knocking the Operator away and calling reinforcements for The New War. The Maker Erra tells Natah that their mother is gone and urges her to finish the war as she still has "her fire". Natah notes that she remembers ordering the Tenno to attack Erra and he was apparently destroyed. Erra objects and states that she remembers wrong and will need time to completely heal from what the Makers had done to her. Natah points at leashed Ballas and asks if he is one of the Makers. After further questioning from Natah, Erra gives up and suddenly grabs and throws Natah at the pedestal behind him. She is trapped in some kind of trance, possibly in Praghasa's furnace, and her body slightly expands. Erra tells her once more to finish the war and drops the leash from his hand. Revealing that his imprisonment was a deception, Ballas stands as he and Erra silently watch Natah. Operation: Orphix Venom Following the Sentient's defeat at Operation: Scarlet Spear, Natah leads the second wave by teaching the machine-disabling Orphix to disable Warframes. The Tenno counter by deploying Necramechs, who are immune to the Orphix's pulse fields. As the war continues, Natah seems to speak in codes regarding the coordination of Orphixes, but secretly transmits a code to them that says "I AM DYING". The New War The Sentients launch their full-scale invasion on the Origin System. As Teshin breaches into the Sentient Mothership, he is captured and subjected into brainwashing via a Narmer Veil while Ballas tortures the Lotus into watching, informing her of his plan to brainwash the masses to end the war. The Operator soon arrives, horrified at the sight of the Lotus, now heavily burnt and weakened. Ballas kisses her to steal her powers and tells her goodbye as a Void portal opens behind her and pulls in her body. The Operator and their Warframe try to pull her back; as she orders them to let go, Ballas steals the Tenno's Paracesis and slices off the Lotus's arm, sending her flying into the portal. As the Operator mourns, Ballas then stabs them and they are also pulled in. Without the Tenno, the Sentients have won the war as Ballas becomes the ruler of the Origin System under Narmer. The Drifter somehow recovers the Lotus, now a dying Eidolon and hides out with Ordis in a cave to conceal the Orbiter. They team up with Hunhow, who does not wish for his daughter to be used as a puppet, instructing the Drifter to defeat Erra's Archons and use their powers of Sentient resurrection to restore the Lotus. However, she fails to recognize the Drifter and attacks. The Lotus eventually corners the Drifter, prompting Ordis to sacrifice his drone body to shield them, during which the Drifter receives Void powers via Eternalism from the Operator accepting The Man in the Wall's deal, who fires a Void Beam to repel the Lotus's attack. This act returns the Operator in the Drifter's place, pacifying the Lotus before she leaves, saying she knows what she must do. Meanwhile, Ballas, enraged at the Tenno's return, informs Erra that he plans to control the Lotus and force her to kill her child. The Operator, after coming to terms with the Drifter, discovers through the Lotus helmet that she plans to head to Cetus to commandeer a Murex. She informs the Tenno that Ballas plots to use the Sentient Mothership Praghasa to feed on the Origin System's sun, which was the ship's original purpose from the Old War, but warns them to stay out of her fight. The Tenno ends up ejected out of the Murex where they are picked up by their Railjack. The Lotus rams her Murex on Praghasa while the Tenno board separately on their Necramech where Erra, defecting after learning Ballas's plan to sacrifice his Narmer empire and the Sentients to escape to the Tau System, guides them to the final Archon in hopes of fully restoring the Lotus before being seemingly being crushed by debris. The Lotus confronts Ballas, with the Tenno soon following behind her, angering the Lotus for their disobedience. Ballas uses this distract to aim an attack at the Lotus, forcing the Tenno to push her aside; they drop the Archon shard which Ballas steals and absorbs, regaining complete control of the Lotus and forcing the mother to kill her child. After a long battle and wrestling the Lotus out of Ballas's control, Ballas steals the Tenno's Paracesis and stabs the Lotus, seemingly gaining the upper hand until the Tenno force a Narmer Veil on him, deluding him into kissing "Margulis" and allowing the Lotus to regain her powers while transforming into Radiant Lotus, putting an end to Ballas once and for all. This victory is cut short as the Lotus shields the Tenno from a Void portal in which The Man in the Wall emerges from, who bellows in a heavily distorted voice before mysteriously vanishing. As she looks back and ensures the safety of the Tenno, she collapses. In the aftermath, the Tenno carries the Lotus back to Lua. Although her tone of voice suggests otherwise, she claims she did not see The Man in The Wall and saw "nothing". She then reveals to be conflicted with her personalities meshing between herself, Natah, and Margulis. The player can choose for her to return as the Lotus, the protector of the Origin System that balances Margulis' compassion and Natah's strength. โ I see violence and suffering in our future. We will need compassion and strength in equal measure... I am the Lotus. โ โLotus reclaiming her mantle Customization โYou're not supposed to be in here! Please complete The New War before proceeding. x Following The New War, players can interact with the Lotus helmet in the Orbiter's Personal Quarters to customize transmission appearances and color of the Lotus. A player receives the chosen skin and the normal Lotus Skin for free, while additional skins can be purchased. However, the name chosen for her from the final choice is permanent and cannot be changed. View Lotus Customization Listโพโพ Angels of the Zariman Following the events of The New War, the Zariman Ten Zero appears back into real space from the Void without warning, stuck between realities. The Lotus talks to the Tenno in her chamber on Lua, telling them of the fabled ship's absence of life aboard on it and the strange sonic transmission it is emitting, attracting not only hers and the Tenno's attention, but also from the entirety of the Origin System, namely the Worm Queen's Grineer and Parvos Granum's Corpus. The Lotus then tells the Tenno that the Zariman has arrived Origin System for the final time, saying that it is their rightful home and that they must reclaim the ship while dealing with the nightmares that haunt it. โ The Zariman has returned to the Origin System for the final time, Tenno. She is your rightful home, but she is beset by the nightmares of the Void. It will be a daunting task, but if you are ever to reclaim her, it must be now. โ โLotus telling the Tenno to reclaim the Zariman and rid of its nightmares of the past When the Tenno arrives aboard the Zariman, the Lotus loses her signal with them due to being drowned out by the song. After the Tenno kills the Void Angel Kira, the song is silenced and the Lotus reestablishes connection with them. She asks the Tenno what they found on the Zariman, but the disheartened Tenno feels defeat in saying to her that they only found ghosts. The Lotus Eaters Following the events of Whispers in the Walls, the Lotus appears in-person at Sanctum Anatomica. As the Tenno approaches her, she is revealed to be fighting the influence of The Man in the Wall and instructs the Drifter to find Albrecht Entrati in 1999. Loid is able to use this established link to assist in completing this time travel journey. Trivia The Lotus is voiced by Rebecca Ford, who is also Warframe's Creative Director at Digital Extremes. Earlier builds of Warframe implied that The Lotus was an organization rather than an individual. The voice often referred to as the Lotus would say, "Good work Tenno, the Lotus will be pleased." at the end of some missions, hinting that the Lotus may be an organization rather than a single entity. This has been changed to "I am pleased", stating the Lotus is in fact the speaker herself. Furthermore, the Natah quest confirms her being an individual. Prior to Update 10.0 (2013-09-13) a female Grineer (e.g. a Heavy Gunner or a Ballista) would say "Death to the Lotus!" when engaging a Tenno in combat. The Lotus' Halloween Skin. In Update 10.6 (2013-10-30), the Lotus's profile image changed to resemble a vampire for Halloween, featuring scarlet clothing, pale skin, and a trickle of blood running from her mouth. This was later reintroduced as a customization option for the Lotus, named Naberus Lotus Skin, in Update 34.0 (2023-10-18). In earlier versions, the Lotus seemed to be human based on her speech patterns, like making informal statements such as: "That's it, now get the hell out of there." These lines have since been revised with a more formal tone. Her pronunciation of "Orokin" changed when her voice was overhauled in Update 11.0 (2013-11-20); prior to that she pronounced it as "Or-o-kin" but from Update 11 onwards she now pronounces it as "ORO-kin". The Lotus has stated that she has crafted the Dex Furis, the Dex Dakra, the Dex Sybaris, and the Dex Nouchali Syandana in Anniversary e-mails sent to players, implying she is capable of engineering feats. The Lotus' convictions may be religious. This is shown when she contacts you in assassinating Alad V. She says: "Alad V sees the power of the Tenno and thinks he can take it for himself. That power is sacred. His blasphemy must end now." She also refers to the Reservoir as a sacred place. During The Second Dream quest, the Lotus suggested that Hunhow can invade her mind as he has the ability to access/interfere with any part of himself, as Hunhow is a Sentient hub of sorts, and the Lotus is a Sentient. As a Sentient present during the Old War, her minimum age is assumed to be that of the Orokin Derelicts, which would indicate the Lotus would be at least several millennia old. Palladino refers to the Lotus as Great Sentient Queen during Chains of Harrow. Erra, a Sentient warlord and a brother of Natah, stated that his sister is a "god" and a "queen". The Lotus is nicknamed Space Mom by Digital Extremes developers and the WARFRAME community, due to the fact that she acts like a surrogate mother to the Tenno. This was later honored in the game with several lines during the Natah quest saying that she is now "the mother". Lotus was added to the video game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a Spirit during the game's Spirits in Black event from February 28, 2020 to March 3, 2020.[2][3] This is the Lotus' first appearance in media outside of Warframe. Her Spirit can be enhanced after reaching Level 99, turning her into Natah. An outfit of The Lotus could be obtained in the Xbox Avatar Editor for free, either through the Microsoft Site, or within the Xbox Avatar Editor itself. The Xbox Avatar Editor was discontinued on January 9, 2025.[4] Although the player can choose the Lotus' identity upon completing The New War quest, post-New-War materials and teasers from Digital Extremes such as the one for The Lotus Eaters and The Old Peace quest treat her Radiant Lotus appearance as the canonical outcome. Ordis is a Cephalon of Orokin origin who serves aboard the Orbiter. His visual form is that of a cracked hexahedron which emits radio wave-like ripples as he speaks. Ordis assists the Tenno, whom he refers to as "Operator". He manages the various systems of the Tenno's landing craft, and provides them with information in between missions. Ordis is a damaged Cephalon programmed to assist the Tenno. He is mostly functional, though he exhibits symptoms of residual damage inflicted on him. This damage has erased portions of his memory, including his knowledge of the Old War. Ordis' speech and demeanor are occasionally altered in momentary blips of rage and aggression. It is initially unclear whether this is a symptom of his damaged subsystems or whether it is a subsumed personality breaking free. These outbursts are markedly different from the usual calmness exhibited by other non-Conclave Cephalons. After an outburst, Ordis is prone to correct himself. โYou're not supposed to be in here! You're going to ruin the surprise!โ The following article/section contains spoilers. x Vor's Prize After Captain Vor shoots down the Liset sent in to rescue the newly awakened Tenno, the Tenno encounters their original ancient Liset (with Ordis onboard) impounded nearby. Ordis initially mistakes the Tenno for another Grineer soldier, but soon realizes their true identity and helps them escape. As the Tenno is being familiarized with their surroundings, the Lotus instructs the Tenno to retrieve replacement components to restore the Orbiter's functions (to Ordis' delight, as this allows the Tenno to exact revenge on the Grineer and the Corpus for gutting him of his components). Along the way, the Tenno rescue a black market merchant named Darvo, whoโwhile willing to help the Tenno remove the Ascaris implanted by Vorโgets into a small squabble with Ordis due to Darvo's former ties with the Corpus. Howl of the Kubrow Upon hearing news of the Tenno's desire to obtain a Kubrow, Ordis makes his distaste for them clear, viewing them as smelly, unhygienic creatures that threaten to soil the pristine interior of his ship. Over time however, Ordis becomes more accepting of the newly hatched Kubrow commenting that its barking and panting are "not displeasing". The Limbo Theorem When Ordis receives a series of mysterious, incomplete proofs, he initially refuses to look into it further but theorizes that the Tenno can decipher the equations by tapping into spaceborne Grineer communication towers to collect additional proof fragments. As Ordis and the Tenno piece the proof fragments, Ordis realizes that the proof belonged to the operator of a Warframe that could access another dimension studied in his equations. Eagerly awaiting new discoveries, Ordis requests the Tenno to locate Limbo's components to further unravel the theorem. After the Tenno locate and build the last of Limbo's components, Ordis promptly reads the next equation, only to discover that it was Limbo's last, having miscalculated his last jump. Disheartened, Ordis urges the Tenno to be more careful when they receive the Warframe for their own use. Stolen Dreams As the Tenno retrieve portions of the Arcane Codex under Maroo's direction, Ordis suggests that the Codex may lead to an Orokin treasure (to his and Maroo's delight), and is shocked that the Codex was written by another Operator. Once the Tenno completes the Codex, Ordis comments that any machine that could possibly read the Codex is long gone, only for Maroo to point out that she obtained the Codex from a machine deep in an Orokin Derelict. Ordis theorizes that the machine could read the Codex, and the Lotus instructs the Tenno to head to Mars (where a portal leading to said derelict is located) in order to decipher the Codex. Once the Tenno finds the machine and insert the Codex, it broadcasts a cryptic message before the machine vanishes. Disappointed that there is nothing of value, Ordis apologizes to Maroo for getting her hopes up (in spite of her misnaming him "Ordo" throughout the search) before she parts ways with the Tenno. The New Strange While the Tenno investigate information regarding a Warframe long thought dead, Cephalon Simaris notices Ordis and reveals that the latter is a still-functional Series 2 Cephalon; all other Cephalons of that make have since degraded beyond repair, so far as Simaris knows. Throughout the quest, Simaris teaches Ordis how to decipher the various transmissions and codes they encounter during their investigation. Impressed with his abilities, Simaris offers Ordis a chance to be the steward of his Sanctuary, while also promising to restore Ordis back to full functionality, as he believes that Ordis is squandering his potential manning the Orbiter. When the time to defeat Chroma arrives, however, Ordis with his newfound knowledge suggests synthesis versus destruction in order to reduce the danger to the Tenno, going against Simaris' wishes. Ultimately, Ordis turns down Simaris' offer, stating that he is foremost the Operator's Cephalon. The Jordas Precept Once Ordis receives an emergency broadcast from another Cephalon named Jordas (who has been captured by the Infestation), Ordis urges the Tenno to reestablish contact with the stranded Cephalon and rescue him. Jordas requests the Tenno to acquire Pherliac Pods in order to rescue him but as the Tenno test the Pods' effectiveness, Ordis begins to doubt Jordas' truthfulness due to the latter's erratic behavior. When the Tenno set out to rescue Jordas in Eris it becomes clear that Jordas has been corrupted by the Infestation, and has tricked both the Tenno and Ordis in harvesting the Pods for the Infestation's own use. Ordis encourages the Tenno to destroy the monstrous abomination whilst Jordas brokenly pleads for death, all while apologizing to Ordis for his actions. Cephalon Fragments Ordan Karris' transmission portrait during Cephalon Fragment transmissions Memory fragments collected throughout the solar system reveal Ordis' origins via recovered memories. During the Orokin Age, Ordis was once a warrior named Ordan Karris, serving the Orokin as a mercenary. Tormented by his actions in battle as the self-styled "Beast of the Bones", and suffering from a terminal illness, Ordan hatched a plan to perform valiantly in battle until he was acknowledged by the Orokin themselves in person to reward him for his service. Only angered further by the Orokin's offer of becoming an Orokin himself blessed with eternal life, Ordan initiated a suicidal beyond-return state and successfully killed all of the Orokin nearest him, or so he thought. In his death throes, Ordan was revived by Executor Ballas, who along with the other Orokin laughs at him for thinking he had accomplished something, and punishes Ordan by having his mind transferred into a digital form in a Landing Craft, and his memories tampered to serve as a loyal guard over the Tenno. As the newly renamed Ordis, he served the Tenno faithfully in the Old War, but gradually regained his memories of his old life as time passed up to and after the Tenno went into cryosleep. With his old memories returned to him, Ordis attempts a self-destruct sequence to destroy himself, but stops at the last moment when he realizes his love for the Operator, and instead purges his memories to prevent his old self from resurfacing. Apostasy Prologue Following the Lotus mysteriously being whisked away by Ballas, Ordis synthesizes her mission directives in the form of a purple, slightly distorted hologram. The Sacrifice Assisting the Operator's search for the Lotus, they come across remains of Excalibur Umbra and Ballas's Vitruvian. Ordis is hesitant to be connected to the Vitruvian's systems and immediately suggests destroying it, but relents. With the acquired data, Ordis is able to recreate a partial blueprint for the Warframe. After "upgrading" into "Vitruvian" Ordis, his vestigial precepts such as caring are rendered offline and speaks in a higher pitch, and refers to Operator as "Star-Child," now being capable of finishing the blueprint. A silhouette of a Sentinel-like body can also be seen in his transmissions. Ordis eventually repairs his vestigial precepts and returns to normal. The New War Ordis' new look After the Sentients invade and declare war on the Origin System, Ordis acts as mission control for Teshin. However he refuses Ordis' help and orders him to switch off until coming across impenetrable barriers and requests the Cephalon to remotely disable them. However, as a result of Ballas banishing the Lotus and the Operator into the Void (consequentially casting out all Tenno), the Origin System falls. In the absence of the Operator, the mysterious Drifter arrives in their place while having somehow recovered the Lotus, now a dying Eidolon. Ordis, now in the body of the Sentinel seen in The Sacrifice (referred to as his "Host Migrator" by Steve Sinclair), has placed the Orbiter frontal segment in stasis and stashed into a hidden cave on Earth. Before the Drifter's proper introduction, Ordis's transmissions feature a silhouette of the lower half of his body and his voice is masked by a deep tone, due to poor signal/comms that night. Ordis continues to assist the Drifter in restoring the Origin System, referring to them as the Operator out of old habits. In their attempts to restore the Lotus, she suddenly turns hostile after not recognizing the Drifter, prompting Ordis to sacrifice his body to shield the Drifter. Ordis recovers afterward, having reconstructed his body, lifted the Orbiter out of stasis and rejoined it with its posterior segment, and rebuilt Paracesis in preparation for the final battle with Ballas. Jade Shadows The Stalker, forced to turn to the Tenno Operator to save Jade, sneaks aboard the Orbiter, alerting Ordis who patrols in his Sentinel body. After approaching the Operator, Ordis threatens a purge sequence but is stopped by the Operator. Ordis analyzes Jade's feather carried by the Stalker and discovers that it belongs to a Warframe, who disappeared following The Collapse and whose information is scarce. To heal Jade, Ordis suggests the Stalker turn to the Infested, the base matter from which Warframes are created from. Though Jade does not survive, Ordis discovers remnants of her power in form of Vestigial Motes, which the Corpus are attempting to harvest. Ordis sends the Tenno to the Stalker's lair to thwart the Corpus. Can be traded to Ordis in the Drifter's Camp for the blueprints for Jade, Harmony, Cantare, and Evensong, and the Arcane Enhancements Arcane Ice Storm, Arcane Battery, Secondary Surge, Secondary Fortifier, and Melee Afflictions. Belly of the Beast Parvos Granum seeks to claim the Jade Light to create a new army of Eximus, escalating his assault on the Stalker's base to covert Volatile Motes. Parvos recognizes Ordis as Ordan Karris, believing the Cephalon's attempts to help Jade are squandered and offers to restore Ordan Karris to his former glory; Ordis rebuffs Parvos and chooses to keep the past buried. --------
