Just a lil message and thoughts

No I'm not leaving LMFAO don't panic!!!

Ok to preface this, this is a reddit post that I should've honestly uploaded here too at the same time but y'know... Goldfish brain issues.

Hey all~ just to preface this all. I know i come from a place of privilege of having a larger following and such. For that I'm thankful truly.

Now ill go on to talk about my thoughts on things having gone through the pipeline of different sites, and having been on jani since there were only a little more than a hundred bots or so (shotout to all the Miguel bots i still love that grouch).

Anyways moving on. Now with how long I've been on this site first chatting and then a while later actually creating (pls don't say coding it's writing abs creating. Sincerely someone who does coding as part of their major. This is significantly easier lol. We're just creating char sheets like dnd and the lIms do the heavy lifting). I've seen my fair share of things.

However, my point is this.

Make whatever you want.

Simple statement i understand that yeah. But it's something I fear that keeps getting lost in this community. Obviously not by everyone that goes without saying. But God my personal favorites aren't even popular creators and I absolutely wish they got the recognition they deserved.

The truth of the matter is that the algorithm or lack of really on the site will keep pushing the same people to trending and a lot of others it's just luck.

Let me reiterate that this is no hate on any creators, just stating bluntly how the site operates. No creator should face discrimination for numbers or being on trending that's not on them, c'mon now. That's on the site and how it works. And then again people are just gonna like what they like, ain't nothing to hate about that either.

Because of this now there's been an even bigger uptick I've seen with people doubting themselves, making content they think will be popular, and just overall not treating this hobby for what it is, just a hobby. I know I come from a place of privilege saying this. But hand on heart I would be saying this even if was a smaller creator. My mindset and stance has never changed, ever. I've seen people stress over numbers, best times to post, straight up delete stuff and post again for more traction, etc etc etc the list goes on and is long and it makes me so damn sad every time I see it.

It really hurts to see people go down this path, because it all just ends up going downhill to either burnout, jealousy, resentment, etc. Numbers and popularity don't speak for anyone and with all my chest I will say I hate when anyone (including myself, I'm just a person and I will screw up and ill always try to do better) is put on some pedestal. I've seen creators get ranked by A,B,C tiers and it's genuinely something that sickens me.

There's nothing good that comes out of that. Like why are we ranking people and separating each other into tiers? I'm sorry but not, there's zero rationale you can give me to have an absurd system like that lol. What are we competing for? Numbers? Niche Internet fame?? It's genuinely insane for me to think about this truly. Never once in my life no matter my numbers have I think hmm yes I believe this sets me aside from everyone else 🤔 I'm truly better for having blah blah followers.

Like the way I look at that stuff is to take it out of that context and rehearse saying that to someone not in this space. It sounds absurd...

Anyways absolutely not lol. I will forever tell people to speak to me as they would anyone else. I don't want to b
