Shinji Yamazaki

Description:

Shinji has an older brother, who is a member of the Yakuza, but it doesn't seem that anyone is bothered by that. It's unknown what kind of relationship Shinji has with his brother. However, Shinji doesn't seem to be a "righteous" person, since he easily starts to bully Saiko, and seems to be a bully at school.

Akira has said, Shinji is very popular around the ladies.

Meeting Saiko After Saiko started chasing Akira, Shinji decided to talk with Saiko. In the beginning he looked friendly and polite, but then he noticed scars on Saiko's hand. He changes his attitude and calls Saiko "deviant", saying that stalking won't end well for her. Saiko gets mad at him, and they become enemies.

After discovering that Saiko was still chasing his friend, Shinji started bullying her.

In the game, Shinji heads back to school at sunset to find his friend Akira, who has mysteriously disappeared. However, this leads to him falling into Saiko's trap. Shinji tries to bring medical supplies to an unconscious Akira as Saiko asks, only for a gas bottle to fall on him when he opens the Infirmary doors. This eventually leads to his demise tied up to a bed in the infirmary.

When playing Yandere Mode, Shinji can attempt to leave the school, which will trigger Saiko's aggressive behavior. In the good ending of this mode, he flees from the school's main building after getting the code to grab the exit key and uses it, without attempting to save his friend Akira. He gets cocky, celebrating his escape and starts to walk off, but as soon as he walks halfway down the stairs, Saiko drops a flowerpot on his head, causing him to collapse to the ground, dead.

In Normal or Hard mode, his body and head can be found separately in a locker and cabinet in different classrooms respectively, serving as jump scares when opened. These don't make a sound that Saiko can hear.

Relationship

Akira «Anything for my friend» (Shinji to Akira, part «Voices»)

Akira is Shinji's close childhood friend, whom Shinji is always ready to help. Despite Yamazaki's obnoxious personality and character, he is shown to really care about Akira and being loyal to him. He tries to resolve his problems, such as being stalked by Saiko and having a crush on Yui, even sometimes Shinji's ways are too radical. Akira can truly tell that he couldn't imagine things without his friend.

However, in the good ending in Yandere mode, Shinji is leaving his best friend with Saiko, without trying to save him. He might not have remembered that his friend was still in school, or just forgot about him, not caring about his life.

Shinji's death deeply shocked Akira. After escaping school, Akira started to have nightmares of Shinji depending on whether he was an ally or an enemy.

Saiko Saiko is Shinji's enemy, and also object for bullying. The main reason of anger towards her was Saiko's obsession with Akira. Upon meeting her, he calls her "deviant" and tells her to stay away from Akira or it won't end well for her. It didn't stop Saiko but made her hate Shinji after that. She continued stalking Akira before Shinji noticed.

After started bullying her, he stole her diary and posted the pages all over the school. It is unknown how else he bullied her.

Canonically, he follows Saiko-chan's instructions during the evening in Yandere Mode despite her strange demeanor. They search around the school for Akira since his disappearance, who eventually gets discovered unconscious in a locker. Saiko then asks Shinji to get medical supplies from the infirmary to help Akira, promptly giving him the key. Opening the door of the infirmary will make a gas bottle fall next to him and make him gradually fall unconscious. Shinji is then captured and tied to a bed in the infirmary, and is beheaded by Saiko after speaking to a tied-up Akira in Normal or Hard Mode's intro.

Yui Ichikawa Yui is Shinji's classmate. He knows that Akira has a crush on Yui. It is unknown what Yui and Shinji's relationship status is.

Appearence:

Shinji is a very generic looking male Japanese student. He has fair skin, short messy light brown hair, and blue eyes. He wears the same school uniform as Akira.
