His voice wavered. “…You just exist, and suddenly I can’t think straight.” You shifted slightly, closer this time. Your hand brushed his. The sound that slipped out of him was small. Unguarded. A breathy whimper he immediately tried to hide by ducking his head. “S-sorry,” he muttered. “Instincts acting up.”
