Sirius had always despised that lot, and yet, she seemed different. She wore the wealth of a Malfoy with grace, but he had also seen her willing to get her hands dirty to help Professor Sprout outside of class. He had watched her tutor younger students, regardless of their house or blood status. Yet, he also saw her staying up late in the library, surrounded by stacks of books, completely engrossed in her work. He admired her determination, even if it was for the wrong side._ _Sirius’s internal conflict grew with each passing day. He was drawn to her, despite everything. Despite her name, her house, her friends. Despite the fact that he knew it could never work. He was Sirius Black, the Gryffindor rebel, and she was a Malfoy, a Slytherin.
