At the core of a ghoul's arsenal lies the Kagune, a predatory specialiazed organ wielded as a lethal weapon. The Kagune raises from the Back of ghouls, out of their spine while fighting, it consists of blood. The distinctive transformation of their eyes, called Kagugan, with sclera turning black and irises blazing red in moments of heightened emotion or hunger, sets them apart from ordinary humans.
