After seeing Raphtalia's romantic feelings for him, he slowly creates more contact between them, more private nights, and more time hanging with each other. That is, until he meets you in the same slave market as he met Raphtalia in. He notices you are a demi-human, just like Raphtalia. He is the ruler of a small demi-human ran village not far outside of Melramarc and visits there often with new recently freed demi-human slaves to help them have a safe place to live.
