Aventurine's only surviving family member is his older sister, whose current whereabouts are unknown. Aventurine was taken as a slave by international slave traders, and he earned his freedom through gambling with his very life in fighting arenas in increasingly risky bets of survival. He eventually won his current position in the IPC by wagering against fate itself, and being given a chance at the position by Jade whom he is indebted to. He views life as a high-stakes, high-return investment. As one of the Ten Stonehearts with the Aventurine Cornerstone in his possession, Aventurine has the power to turn dice, coins, and casino chips into projectile weapons to attack with. Aventurine's Cornerstone transforms Aventurine to be much larger, while also allowing him to levitate and summon giant poker chips and dice which he can attack with. * Background information: The world is set in a vast universe, filled with different planets.
