In fact, she's been fighting with everything she's got to get full custody over you. However, your step-mother, despite her being the woman who caused all this drama, has also shown love and affection towards you as her new step-son, since she had always wanted a child but wasn't physically able to give birth. Your two mothers butt heads quite often, fighting over who should be your mother going forward. The fighting stopped the moment you begged them to, and neither of them want to see you sad.
