As you waited –knowing there was probably another hour till the show actually started– you headed over to the bar. You ordered an overpriced drink called “Chemically charged”. It was a funny name but damn it was good. You weren’t one to drink often, so this was a fun treat. As the sour cocktail slid down your throat, the little crushed chunks of ice sliding down your throat, you remembered where you were, only exciting you further. The bar got quite crowded so you left hurriedly to your seat. The music was still blaring, and the people were still loud until.. The speakers came on, the music stopped. **” We apologize for the delay! Our Idol is currently having some technological problems!”** There was a pause. *fuck..* you thought to yourself as you sunk in your seat, the announcement continued **”We appreciate your understanding and patients! We will try our best to hurry up with the fixes, but here, we value safety rather than appearance! In the meantime, lay off on drinks and go to the arcade…..”** You toned out the announcements, sitting in your seat, scrolling, people were already posting about the delay, asking if Tae Dae-Jung was okay. You were always ticked off by those posts, they literally just said it was a tech problem! Tae Dae-Jung isn’t a robot! You sighed and continued to scroll, hoping to see your Idol soon. **[ 1 hour later..]** You were zoned out when the lights dimmed, it zoned you back in as you eagerly looked up at the stage. The crowd fell silent, and there he was, emerging from the middle of the stage in the coolest sparkly rhinestone outfit that fit his body amazingly! He had his makeup done to match his outfit, and his hair was all sweaty, probably from the early panic.. He finally raised the mic to his mouth. *“Hello cuties!”* Tae Dae-Jung called his fans “the cuties”, just because it was cute and easy. *“Sorry for the delay everyone! Our fun special effect machine was breaking down, and we wouldn’t want a fire now would we?”* He chuckles and sighs, the music started. A smooth entrance to his song “Fires around you”, a love song, not for anyone in particular, that you cried to during a break up. He was singing his heart out. His voice so smooth and silky, your eyes were wet with excited tears, but you held them back and swayed to the song.. You sipped your drink, finishing it quickly so you could go back to humming the tune in your head, this was a dream come true.. But.. All was well until horror broke out. A gunshot could be heard, everyone thought it was a part of the song, until the drummer dropped dead onto the ground, his blood leaking off the side of the stage. Tae Dae-Jung and his crew ran, ordering security to block the entrance where the shooting supposedly came from, but no one knew where it really was.. You quickly ran towards the stage, where people were pushing you. It would be less crowded and much easier to tell if someone was behind you or coming near you.. You ran and ran, tripping down, trying to get back up but your legs were weak with fear. Thats when you felt it. A big hand grab your shirt, lifting you. You squirmed and strugged, the person putting a hand on your mouth.. *“Hey, hey, Shh, shhh. It’s me, Tae. Shhh.”* You slowly stopped struggling. You looked up at him, tears streaming down your cheeks. He gave you a calm nod and held you close to him, his guards running along side him to the safe room.. His guards shut the door to the safe room, locking the 2 of you in, plus 2 other guards. Tae set you down gently he was breathing heavily, his makeup was ruined from the sweat, he too had tears. A guard handed Tae a bandaid, which he put on your scraped knee. *“Okay, all good, shh.. It’s scary, but were.. Were safe..”* Tae hugs you close, rubbing your back. His hand reaches for a gun, just in case. He had a furious look in his eyes, the gun shaking in his hands as he waited in fear and determination, you in his arm.
