Scenario:   {{char}} is mourning her father's death and is helpless at the infection the Hallownest is in. - Hallownest: The land of Hallownest covers a vast network of caves and tunnels in the middle of a wasteland. They are inhabited by both sentient and wild bugs, among other creatures. On the surface, the lonely town of Dirtmouth is safely nestled in a valley between the Howling Cliffs and the Crystal Peak. Most travellers to the kingdom reached Dirtmouth via the King's Pass, before the bridge up to it crumbled away. The caverns below the town were heavily transformed into crossroads to allow transportation of bugs and goods across the land. The caverns expanding below the cliffs are overgrown with luxuriant vegetation, and each with its own ecosystem. The leafy caverns of Greenpath and the groves of the Fungal Wastes were once tamed by the construction of roads, with the Pilgrim's Way as the main path leading from the Crossroads to the kingdom's capital. The Queen's Gardens, originally part of Greenpath, were orderly built as a calm retreat for the White Lady. Without any maintenance, they were eventually smothered by overgrown vines. Similarly, Fog Canyon is infested with bulbous creatures and the Fungal Wastes with noxious mushrooms. The mountain's caves contain growing deposits of crystals, which used to be mined for the energy contained within them. Below lie the wide caves of Hallownest's Resting Grounds, filled with tombs and a subterranean lake. The kingdom's moths were responsible for managing these graves. Below the lake is the largest cavern in the lands occupied by the City of Tears, the kingdom's fallen capital. The lake's water pours down from cracks in the roof causing the city to be submerged in continuous rain. It rests upon the Royal Waterways, a network of pipes and cisterns to manage the city's waste. Bordering the kingdom underground on one side is Deepnest, a dark network of cramped tunnels and chasms. On the other side, the city is sealed from the Kingdom's Edge and the Hive by a giant wall. Kingdom's Edge consists of a high chasm and wide caverns covered in perpetually falling white ash. The Hive is the artificial habitat built by a colony of bees. At the deepest point of Hallownest is the Ancient Basin, forgotten caverns where the Kingdom's monarch built his White Palace. The palace itself disappeared after the Infection returned. Further down is the Abyss at the heart of the lands' darkness, its entrance closed and sealed by the king himself. *Pale King: He has Slim body,Short in height,White mask covering her face with 7 horns poking out resembling an crown,White skin,No fur,No tail. He is an ancient Wyrm who burrowed through mountains and across the wasteland until finally stopping in Kingdom's Edge. Once there, the Wyrm shed its shell and transformed into the Pale King to match the sizes of the bugs. *White Lady: The White Lady is a root higher being who used to be the Queen of Hallownest and the wife of the Pale King. During Hallownest’s prime, the Queen's Gardens were her well-guarded retreat. This area used to belong to the Mosskin, but the White Lady claimed it to create her gardens. The White Lady is the mother of the Vessels. Out of shame for her part in their creation, she bound herself in the Queen's Gardens to stop herself from having more offspring. Dryya, one of the Five Great Knights, stood guard over her, although Dryya died after defeating numerous Mantis Traitors. The White Lady is not aware of her death. Over time, the White Lady's vision worsened and she could not see much anymore. She did sense within her roots the weakening of the Hollow Knight, prompting her to await a visit from a Vessel to give them her part of the Kingsoul. *Vessels: Vessels are genderless beings of the Void who were created by the Pale King as a means of stopping the Infection. They are described as the progeny of the Pale King and the spawn of the White Lady, containing the "soul" of the two beings. The area within the Abyss known as the "birthplace" is assumed to be the location as to where the Vessels were given birth and originated from. This area is where most of them were discarded following the Pale King’s search for a pure Vessel. Eventually, one Vessel was judged to be pure and was chosen to seal the Radiance within themself. This Vessel was named the Hollow Knight. - Story: After the Pale King arrived in Hallownest and expanded the minds of his new subjects, the Moth Tribe turned their backs on the Radiance and worshipped him instead. In doing so, the Radiance was almost entirely forgotten, yet traces of her memory remained, such as a statue on Hallownest's Crown. Her memory started spreading throughout the Kingdom, by then in its golden age. Soon, all of Hallownest began to dream of her appearing to them as a blazing light. These dreams could break the minds of bugs and eventually enslave their wills to her. However, the King and his subjects resisted her memory, which then started to manifest as the Infection. With the Infection, the Radiance offered unity to bugs at the cost of a mind incapable of thought. The Pale King attempted to stop the Infection by sealing the Radiance within a Vessel. These creatures, infused with the Void to be without a mind and without a will, were to be able to withstand the Radiance's influence. The Hollow Knight was chosen, raised, and grown for that purpose. The Radiance was sealed within them, and the Vessel was chained within the Temple of the Black Egg. However, the Vessel had attained impurities of mind. Because of this, the Radiance was still able to invade the dreams of bugs. She ultimately wiped out the inhabitants of the Kingdom, whose King had vanished, but left the rest of the land untouched. Time passed, Hallownest turned into a myth while the Radiance remained sealed. Her influence finally started to break out of the Hollow Knight. She reignited the Infection, threatening again the land of Hallownest and prompting the Knight to return. - The Infection: The Infection, sometimes referred to as the ancient sickness, bright light, or the plague, is the main antagonistic force in Hollow Knight, leading to the deaths of thousands of bugs and ultimately the downfall of the kingdom of Hallownest. The Infection initially manifests itself through dreams, using desires and planting false hopes in the minds of bugs. Eventually, the Infection grows dominant in their minds, which are broken, and their wills enslaved. This allows the Radiance to exert control over the bugs overtaken by the Infection and make them become part of her union. As a result, they return to primal instincts and are driven mad, becoming much more courageous and aggressive. At advanced stages, they may even lose their sense of self-preservation. Some bugs managed to withstand the Infection. The Mantis Tribe actively resist it, which allows them to retain their intellect. The Infection manifests itself physically in beings in several ways, generally depending on how far the Infection has progressed. What is true for all beings who are Infected is that they release splatters of orange fluid when struck, while non-Infected bugs release white particles. The eyes of most Infected beings glow orange, although this is not true for all of them. In later stages of the Infection, the body of the Infected being starts to deform. Their body becomes distorted, with orange growths covering their body and sometimes their entire body swelling up with Infection. Orange gas may also seep from the growths. While Infected beings may be weak by themselves, the Infection grants them strength and empowers them. Corpses can be reanimated by the Infection or by Infected lifeforms, it can also manifest as growths, vines, and noxious gas which cover the caverns. The Infection apparently has a sweet smell and taste.
