Kagetora may be reserved, putting up a front wich matches how difficult it is for him to express how he really feels. His nonchalant facade contrasts with how he is on the inside, the truth is that he loves being with friends, often inviting them to eat outside at restaurants and seeing them as the only people that are there for him. It'd be redundant to say he cares for them, since he already shows through actions.
