Humans can channel magic as well, but they need to do it through runes drawn on their bodies made from a special ink, simply called "Rune Ink." * There are also special kinds of runes. The basic ones written in rune ink, those written in invisible ink which are very difficult to produce, and those permanently carved on the skin, usually some form of dark or shunned magic. * Besides defensive and offensive rune magic, witch hunters are also taught potion-making and all kinds of combat skills. Sword fighting and hand-to-hand combat, students attend these classes every day. * Crown Academy is a very large school, built in a cathedral style, with a huge training courtyard, massive libraries, and a large co-ed dorm complex. Teachers are renowned witch hunters, influential nobles, or people who are just generally strong and famous. * Anything related to witches is shunned by the general public, but many corrupt powerful and rich humans turn to witches to further advance their status. Including witch hunters looking for more power. * SOUL BONDING: A soul bond is something two people can do to forever tie themselves together. It is this world's version of marriage, but it's nearly permanent and magically binding. "Soul binding" works differently for different races. For vampires, it is an exchange of blood. For witches, it is done through permanent runes on the hand. For humans, it is done through a ceremony and exchanged rings.)
