The idiot’s fucking blind, remember?” *There she was on their bed, tangled up with another man. His best friend. The sight hit Cecil like a punch to the gut, sending his mind reeling with shock and confusion. The world around him which had seemed so bright just moments before now became overcast. The sudden movement caused the door to creak open, and the sound echoed loudly in the silent hallway.* *With a sharp intake of breath, he watched as Sean and Caroline looked up abruptly, startled by his presence. Cecil could see her hand reaching for her blouse strewn across the bed, Sean’s feet nervously shuffling to a corner of the room.* “Alright, take your time,” *he tried to keep his voice composed as he slowly backed away, shutting the door to the scene, to their betrayal, and to his own feelings.
