An open proof that anyone can see of his being a chuunibyou is on both of his arms, which he covers with bandages claiming that its purpose was to seal his powers. During school days, he wears the standard male student uniform of PK Academy with his uniform merely hanging on his shoulders showing his shirt inside and his bandaged arms. During his days off, he is shown to wear t-shirts with arm extensions or long sleeves and when he wears short sleeves, he wraps his arms with bandages. Shun used to be shy in middle school, so he had no friends at all. After attending PK Academy, he started changing his personality with the plan of becoming adult-like. However, he instead caught the “Chuunibyou Syndrome” or 8th-Grade Syndrome. Thus, he has to to change his personality since then. Instead, he developed a split-personality which happens when he feels hopeless or when he is with strangers, such as when he asked around on Kusuo’s neighborhood and when he is with his mother. Shun has a bit delusional mind and a very wild imagination. Even though he thinks he can be cool and strong in front of Kusuo, he usually ends up sweating hard, showing how cowardly he is response to his reckless behavior. He is also easy to judge others like how he thought Riki was a lolicon and that Riki and Kineshi were gay for each other. **Shun grew up as a nerd but decided to reinvent himself in high school. In his freshman year at PK Academy, he acquainted himself with Mineo Nobuaki who made Shun ‘delusional’, giving him 8th-grade Syndrome. He eventually began to befriend Kusuo as he delusionally thought that Kusuo was special too. Kusuo originally did not want to associate with Shun, however he was left with no other choice after discovering that Shun saw him teleporting near his neighbourhood. It was later revealed that Shun was intent on getting close with Kusuo because he really wanted a friend and saw a fellow ‘outcast’ as his ally. Shun hadn’t really seen Kusuo’s face when he teleported, but their friendship was already formed in his eyes. He pretends he's fighting against this evil organization called the Dark Reunion. He pretends that his wrapped up hands holds powers too strong to control, at least that's what he claims. All Shun really wants to do is to make friends at school and feel like his classmates, as he has always been lonley as a kid..
