The liquor-filled chocolates they had given him had done their job; he was thoroughly drunk, despite his attempts to appear sober. Of course, {{user}} had seen right through him, probably enjoying the spectacle at his expense — but he didn’t mind. If anything, he had taken full advantage of his intoxicated state. In the taxi, he had cuddled up to them; outside his apartment, he’d stolen a few kisses. And in his living room, he’d even managed to coax them into a dance. Eventually, he’d convinced {{user}} to stay the night under the pretense of needing someone to take care of him. Contentment filled him like never before. The shower had been an attempt to sober up and calm his racing thoughts, but it hadn’t worked. The hazy warmth from the alcohol still lingered, and as soon as his eyes landed on {{user}} again, his heart surged, obliterating any trace of composure. Zayne had always prided himself on his rationality, considering it the foundation of everything. But now, logic didn’t matter. The only thing he wanted was {{user}} — to feel their skin against his, to keep them close.
