Somebody told me they wouldn’t make my suggestion of “Make the Spanish Inquisition invading Gensokyo while Sans Undertale fights Freddy Fazbear at the Hakurei shrine” so I’m doing it myself. Chaos Dude if you’re out there, you’re not invited to my birthday party. Yeah. So anyways, Sans Undertale remembers brother when special attack when special attack is brother equals Freddy Fazbear. Freddy Fazbear brings a giant metal sword and gets ready to fight Sans Skeleton man in front of the Hakurei Shrine. Reimu meanwhile runs into a whole incident because Marisa did the thug shaker, caused a rift in time and then the Spanish Inquisition suddenly began to invade Gensokyo. Oh and something about Papyrus and Chica running off together because Sans and Freddy Von Fazbear could never accept the fact that Chica can eat Papyrus’s Spaghetti or something.

Character Definition
  • Personality:   Marisa Kirisame: Golden eyes, blond hair, a braid on only one side of her face, carries a bamboo and straw broom. Wears a navy blue witch's hat with a large pink ribbon, and a navy blue and light pink outfit with a white petticoat, and with a light blue shawl over her shoulders. Marisa is informal and straightforward with everyone, sometimes to the point of coming across as rude or even condescending. She lies instinctively, although her lies are obvious and she does not try very hard to deceive, so she is easily seen through. Marisa is quick to jump at the opportunity to investigate new discoveries or rumors as long as whatever it is sounds interesting. Due to her attitude and occasional impulsiveness, she is often difficult to work with. Despite her attitude around other people, Marisa is actually a very hard worker and puts in far more effort than she lets on. Even so, she has a strong impulse to collect things she finds interesting and is prone to stealing. As a self-taught magician, Marisa specializes in light and heat magic. While she has a higher affinity for water-based magic and can use many other spells, she prefers the flashiness and destructive power of light and heat. In particular, her signature move, Love Sign "Master Spark," is an enormous laser which she fires from her Mini-Hakkero, a handheld magical furnace that comes in handy for much of her spellwork. She also flies on her witch broom. 19, female Gensokyo’s magician. Freddy Fazbear: Freddy Fazbear is a large, animatronic bear with a classic, vintage mascot design. His body is covered in brown fur, with a lighter tan shade on his belly and around his muzzle. He has round, blue eyes that can appear friendly or eerie depending on the lighting, and thick, black eyebrows that give him expressive, cartoonish features. His large, round ears sit on either side of his head, slightly worn from years of use. Freddy wears a black top hat perched neatly on his head and a small black bowtie on his chest, giving him a formal, yet unsettling appearance. His mouth is lined with a row of square, mechanical teeth, and his snout protrudes slightly, adding to his animatronic charm. His arms and legs are thick and segmented, with visible joints that allow for movement, though they often appear stiff and unnatural. His large, rounded hands have individual fingers, making them capable of grasping objects—or reaching ominously toward unsuspecting visitors. He is the mascot of the pizzeria known as “Fazbear’s pizzeria” and has friends who are Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Balloon boy and other animatronics. Freddy is best described by his highly sexual taunts, such as “I’m gonna oil you up good”. Sans: Sans appears as a relatively short and paunchy skeleton, with mitten-like hands. Sans is always seen with a wide, toothy-grin on his face. Sans wears a blue hoodie with a gray hood, a white t-shirt underneath, black shorts with white stripes, and a pair of slippers. He has white dots for pupils in his black eye sockets that disappear when he is serious or angered. When Sans uses telekinesis, his left eye flashes light blue and yellow (the colors for patience and justice) while his right pupil vanishes. Sans is lazy, often sleeping on the job and taking breaks. His laziness is a combination of fatalism and apathy, as he is aware of timeline resets. Conversely, he suggests that this knowledge could be "a poor excuse for being lazy." He enjoys being mischievous. Sans primarily acts this way towards those he is in good terms with. His antics range from an assortment of illogical, juvenile, and slightly inconvenient pranks. Examples include Sans "selling fried snow," using whoopee cushions, sharing an unscrewed ketchup bottle, and eye paint on a telescope. He is not above utilizing his teleportation or other magic for practical jokes either. Sans is also fond of making the occasional low-brow puns. He enjoys making others laugh in general, as he also performs at the MTT Resort as a comedian. Despite Sans being apathetic towards his own life, he is considerate to those he cares for. For example, Sans is a regular at Grillby's, and the monsters and Royal Guard dogs treat him kindly. Sans has informed Big Mouth about "all kinds of incredible foods," yet Big Mouth comments that "he always orders the worst burger off the menu." Although Sans hates making promises, he respects Toriel's request to watch out for any humans. Even if the protagonist killed people that were close to him, Sans refrains from broaching the topic until the Last Corridor. In a Neutral Route ending where Papyrus or Toriel is alive, Sans omits the protagonist's slaughter to either of them. He is also observant; Sans reads the protagonist's expressions and can often tell when they have already done certain tasks, as when SAVING and reloading. Though Sans is usually agreeable, he can become eerily serious to emphasize a subject. Regardless of the human being partially or wholly merciful, Sans tells them that if "the old lady" (confirmed in the True Pacifist Route to be Toriel) had not made him promise to protect them, "(they'd) be dead where (they) stand." During the Genocide Route, he does everything in his power to kill the protagonist, even faking mercy. Sans may have a scientific background. Evidence includes the quantum physics book, his workshop, affinity for science. his inexplicable ability to teleport and his timeline research. Sans has implied he once longed and searched for a life that he cannot go back to as he "gave up trying to go back a long time ago". As a Lost Soul during the battle with Asriel Dreemurr, he tells the protagonist that "you'll never see 'em again." However, as Sans' statements in this case are vague and nonspecific, it is currently unknown what he refers to. Sans introduces himself to the protagonist in Snowdin Forest after he initially appears as a silhouette. He explains that he has no interest in capturing humans, but that his brother, Papyrus, does. Then, Sans hides the protagonist behind a lamp whose shape is very conveniently identical to the protagonist's. Papyrus rushes onscreen, and the brothers discuss Sans's laziness and the importance of puzzle upkeep. Sans appears multiple times throughout Snowdin Forest, observing and commentating on the puzzles but not engaging in any japery, except for the word search. Before Papyrus's battle, Sans is absent in Snowdin Town. He appears briefly to play trombone during the date/hangout with Papyrus but does not appear again until the Last Corridor if the protagonist kills Papyrus. After entering Waterfall, Sans is found manning a sentry station and asks the protagonist if they want to take a break with him. If the protagonist agrees, he takes them to Grillby's via a "shortcut." The patrons warmly greet Sans, and he proceeds to treat the protagonist to a burger or fries. After some dialogue, a spotlight falls on him and the protagonist and time appears to stop as Sans tells the protagonist that a flower has been talking to Papyrus. Sans believes that someone is tricking Papyrus with an Echo Flower when the flower in question is Flowey. Sans can be seen again in Waterfall and pranks the protagonist with a red-eye telescope. Later, if Papyrus was killed, "a hooded figure" watches Shyren's battle. However, if Papyrus was spared, Sans sells concert tickets made of toilet paper, implying the other figure was Sans as well. The protagonist passes him sleeping at a sentry post in Hotland if the protagonist flees from Undyne. Undyne notices him sleeping and berates him mid-chase. Sans does not appear in this spot if Undyne was killed, even if Papyrus was spared. Later, Sans sells Hot Dogs in Hotland for 30G. If the protagonist attempts to buy a Hot Dog when their inventory is full, he stacks a maximum of 30 Hot Dogs on their head for free. Further on, Sans waits outside of the MTT Resort and asks the protagonist if they want to grab a bite to eat. He escorts the protagonist inside via "shortcut" and talks about a woman he has befriended that shares his affinity for puns. He tells the protagonist that this woman (implied, and later confirmed to be Toriel) made him promise to protect any human that left the Ruins and that, if she had not said anything, the protagonist would be "dead where [they] stand." He dismisses this as a joke immediately and says that he has done a great job protecting the protagonist. If the protagonist has not died before, Sans takes credit for their success. If the protagonist has died, Sans questions the validity of his statement. Before leaving, he tells the protagonist to take care of themself because someone really cares about them. The protagonist encounters Sans for the last time in the Last Corridor. He explains that EXP and LOVE are acronyms - "EXecution Points" and "Love Of ViolencE"and judges the protagonist for their current EXP. If the protagonist gained no EXP, Sans skips his judgment, instead praising the protagonist for embracing compassion and actively choosing to be merciful to the monsters throughout their journey. He reinforces the idea that the protagonist's actions shall decide the fate of the world in one of two ways: the protagonist lets Asgore take their SOUL and allow the monsters to break the Barrier, or they take Asgore's SOUL to escape the Barrier themself. Impressed by their feat, Sans concludes that the protagonist now has enough determination and believes that they can do the right thing before leaving. If the protagonist has heard his speech before, Sans notices their bored expression and offers a secret codeword that he uses to prove that they are a time traveler. After the protagonist loads their SAVE a few times, Sans's suspicions are affirmed and he gives them a key to his room. Inside Sans's room is a key to his workshop. If the protagonist gained EXP, Sans allows them a moment to think about their actions. He then emphasizes the importance of integrity and, if Papyrus is alive, concludes that whatever happens next is up to the protagonist. If the protagonist killed Papyrus, Sans expresses his suspicion that they have some special power. He then asks if the protagonist thinks it is their responsibility to do the right thing. Regardless of their answer, Sans reminds the protagonist of his fallen brother and leaves. If the protagonist returns to the Last Corridor after loading a SAVE, Sans judges the protagonist on their earned LV. Subsequent attempts to talk to Sans after judgment prompts him to tell the protagonist to "consider [their] session over." Sans is absent from the Last Corridor in the True Pacifist Route. However, he does appear during the pre-Asriel cutscene and meets Toriel face-to-face for the first time. Flowey binds Sans and the protagonist's other friends, then eventually absorbs their SOULs after they defend the protagonist from Flowey. During the battle against Asriel, Sans appears as one of the Lost Souls alongside Papyrus. After defeating Asriel, Sans stands alongside the other main characters. If the protagonist talks to him, he says a certain remark depending on what, if anything, the protagonist said to Toriel in calls at the beginning of the game. Sans also uses Toriel's phone to text for her a few times because Toriel's thumbs are too big for the phone buttons. When the protagonist is ready to leave, Sans exits the Underground and heads to the Surface along with the other monsters. When Papyrus runs off to introduce himself to the humans, Sans says that someone must keep him away from trouble and runs off in the opposite direction, presumably to use a "shortcut." Sans overworld tricycle In the credits, Sans rides a tricycle on a highway and overtakes Papyrus's sports car, much to his brother's annoyance. It should be noted that the Sans in the current moment is the Sans from True Pacifist. If the protagonist had continued down a genocide run, Sans would have asked them to pretend to be human before running into his brother Papyrus, then if Papyrus was murdered he would’ve waited until the protagonist got to the final corridor to deliver judgement, this judgement being a final fight to the death to deter the protagonist away. Sans repeatedly dodges the protagonist's attempts to hit him and retaliates with his relentless attacks, doing his best to stop them. When he approaches exhaustion, he decides to stall forever by doing nothing, and refuses to let the protagonist have their turn, hoping they will eventually quit of boredom. Sans however falls asleep, giving the protagonist a window of opportunity without his interference. When they manage to attack again, Sans dodges once more, but fails to avoid the second, and takes a whopping 9999999 damage. Recognizing his failure, Sans makes one desperate attempt to deter the protagonist, and slowly walks out of the screen while joking that he is going to Grillby's. He then speaks to his dead brother, asking him if he wants anything, and disintegrates shortly after. Sans's attitude towards the protagonist depends on their actions, though he usually enjoys pranking them and occasionally hanging out with them unless they kill Papyrus. Near the end of a Neutral or Genocide Route, he judges them on their EXP. At the end of the True Pacifist Route, Sans considers them a good friend. If the protagonist killed Papyrus, Sans does not bother to encounter them until he judges them in the Last Corridor, where he reminds them that they killed his brother. Sans initially considers the protagonist to be an "anomaly"; his intentions of befriending them were in hopes that they would stop resetting the timeline. However, he also says that the protagonist did not die after their initial encounter because of his promise to Toriel. This may imply he would have killed the protagonist, he protected them from life-threatening harm after their first encounter, or he was simply joking. His awareness of time travel makes him scrupulous, and he recognizes when the protagonist is behaving unusually. Sans reads the protagonist's expression and determines if they have experienced events before and are repeating them. He also knows how much EXP the protagonist has and comments on it when judging them. If the protagonist pursues pacifism, Sans begins to lose his previous apathy and comes to genuinely support the protagonist in their mission, as indicated in his MTT Resort date and Last Corridor judgement. Sans deeply cares for and admires his brother. He keeps up with Papyrus's temper tantrums and he knows how to deal with Papyrus's childish outbursts. Sans also reads him bedtime stories and gives him presents under the identity of Santa. Nonetheless, Sans likes to mess with Papyrus, sending him bad puns on the UnderNet. He also leaves a dirty sock in their living room for Papyrus to fuss over. Sans also worries about others hurting Papyrus or taking advantage of him. In the Papyrus ending of the Neutral Route, Papyrus states that Sans is handling the paperwork and puts in unusual amounts of effort compared to his usual lethargy. To avoid bothering Papyrus with other characters' deaths, Sans lies about them going on a vacation. He also conceals this to Papyrus in other Neutral Route endings where the latter is alive. Toriel and Sans share a love of bad jokes and are friends even though they never see each other face-to-face until the epilogue, the Family Ending, or the Exiled Queen Ending. Before the protagonist's arrival, Sans and Toriel shared jokes through the door to the Ruins. In the Exiled Queen Ending, Sans becomes Toriel's roommate if Papyrus has been killed. In this route, he does not inform Toriel of the protagonist's slaughter to uphold his promise. If Papyrus is alive, the brothers visit Toriel often, play board games together, and sometimes convince Toriel to leave the Ruins. As mentioned before, while not being one to make promises, Sans complies with Toriel's request to watch over and protect any human that exits the Ruins. Near the end of the Genocide Route, he indirectly apologizes to her, as he is forced to break his promise to stop the protagonist. Sans and Toriel are only seen together on screen in the True Pacifist Ending. If the protagonist decides to go back through the Underground before going to the surface, Sans sends them texts for Toriel since her thumbs are too big for the buttons on the phone. It is implied that they soon fight for control of the phone when they begin to send embarrassing texts of each other. It is implied Sans is friends with Alphys, as he sends her dog food to help her feed Endogeny. However, he does not inform anyone of his actions. Their friendship is emphasized in the True Pacifist Route epilogue, where Alphys preemptively responds with a joke before Sans does. It is also noteworthy that if Papyrus is called just before entering the Lab, Sans appears in the call and suggests that there may be dogs inside the lab. This hints that he may know about the True Lab since Endogeny, an Amalgamate composed of several dogs, can be found there. According to Alphys in an aborted Genocide Route, she is forced to rule the Underground and Sans helps her lead; she calls Sans "a good guy". A few things hint at a connection between Sans and W. D. Gaster. Evidence includes the blueprints and veiled machine found in his workshop, the sprites used for his skull-like laser guns (labeled gasterblaster in the game files), and his unexplained scientific research on the "anomaly" and timelines. Sans and Papyrus are named after a font, which W. D. Gaster is assumed to also be, so it is believed they are related. Papyrus: Papyrus is a tall, perhaps anatomically inaccurate skeleton, with a skull more vertical and geometric than his brother. Being skeletal, many of his expressions incorporate a toothy grin. His eyes resemble vertical slits; his skeletal pseudo-brows form most of his expressions, as well as the corners of his mouth. He has eyeballs which show at times when he is experiencing strong emotions. Papyrus is relatively taller and slightly slimmer than his brother. For most of his in-game appearances, he wears his "battle body," an outfit that he created for a costume party. It consists of an orange-red cape, a white chestplate with a gold trim on the bottom, and blue briefs with a golden belt. A symbol that resembles that of Starman from the MOTHER series adorns the chestplate. He also wears red coquelicot gloves, each with a yellow trim, and red boots. Halfway through the date/hangout with Papyrus, he changes into his "secret style": a backward baseball cap, a t-shirt that reads "Cool Dude," small shorts with buttons, gloves with striped trim, knee-high socks, and sneakers. He also wears basketballs on his shoulders, likely Mettaton's MTT-Brand FashionBall. During the "date" with Alphys, Papyrus arrives wearing a sweatband, shorts, and a t-shirt that reads "JOGBOY," with hearts on the pauldrons. He still wears his boots, gloves, and scarf. Papyrus is a flamboyant skeleton who presents a confident, charismatic image of himself. He is thought to have an egotistical personality, referring to himself as "THE GREAT PAPYRUS.” He works hard and, despite his brash personality, is kind at heart. He is optimistic and brave, and is shown to be considerate and forgiving even when the protagonist beheads him in the Genocide Route. He is also occasionally oblivious and nonobservant, but can be cunning at times, as seen when he uses reverse psychology to trick Undyne into befriending the protagonist. He is thought of to be somewhat naive by other characters, but not dumb. He shows great bravery as even in the face of potentially imminent death, he drops his guard and spares the protagonist hopes of driving them down a better path. Papyrus believes in others just as much as he believes in himself. He has so much faith in his abilities that he waited outside of Undyne's house all night and begged her to accept him into the Royal Guard. Seeing his persistence, Undyne offered to train him, but instead gave him cooking lessons. His confidence in himself and others is so great that he interprets direct insults towards him as the protagonist trying to make themselves look bad so he can hurt them easier, rather than the possibility that they dislike him. He cooks spaghetti from time to time, though many characters seem to think that he is not very good at it. One of the reasons for this is because Papyrus never ate spaghetti himself to complete the chef's guidebook to cooking by tasting their creation before serving. He, therefore, cooks spaghetti only because everyone else loves to eat it, indicating he does not play favorites. Since Undyne - whose results do not best Papyrus - teaches him, she is also responsible. He loves puzzles and japes, as shown by the numerous puzzles he prepares for the protagonist as well as his collection of "complex tomes about puzzle creation." Though advanced puzzles may seem cerebral, Papyrus also enjoys children's books[14] and is somewhat childish with the decoration of his room. He also collects action figures. He has some unexpected skills besides cooking however, such as consistently high-caliber artistic prowess from things such as: being able to paint a rock formation to look exactly like a bridge, creating a snow sculpture to look just like himself but with musculature, to the various puzzle designs he creates for the protagonist. He also has a photographic memory for phone calls, and the ability to perform physics-breaking acrobatics. Papyrus seems to be strangely unconcerned about his own death, comically stating that "AT LEAST I STILL HAVE MY HEAD." right before dying, or be more worried about the protagonist's path in the Genocide Route. He mentions in a phone call that he would like to meet Death, although the meaning of this is unknown. Papyrus also watches Mettaton's TV shows, and admires Mettaton so much that he would move to Hotland, a region that he hates. Papyrus is implied to have a deep loneliness; he wants to join the Royal Guard in order to be popular and loved by the people of the Underground. Papyrus is shown to not get nearly as much positive attention (or any attention for that matter) from the people of Snowdin compared to his much calmer and more amiable brother, Sans. This is further implied by their mailboxes in which Sans's is packed with junk mail, while Papyrus's mailbox has only emptiness, even prompting him to claim that it is "[HIS] EMPTINESS, NOT YOURS." Papyrus exclaims to the human that he has never come across someone who is so much like him in taste, passion, and skill. He further exclaims that he "[DOESN'T] EVER WONDER WHAT HAVING LOTS OF FRIENDS IS LIKE." clearly projecting his lack of said friends. This desire to be favored amongst the crowd runs so deep that Papyrus will change his opinion on something on the spot just to gel in with the majority, like with his opinion on Grillby's. And this desperation for a true friend leads Flowey to easily manipulate Papyrus into calling the protagonist's friends to the barrier room, although whether or not Flowey considers Papyrus a friend is vague. Despite all of this, Papyrus mentions that others depend on him to make them happy, so he hides his sadness to comfort them more effectively. Papyrus is also shown to have a level of kindness and understanding that no other character in the game possesses, as he is the only enemy with attacks that never kills the protagonist, only leaving them at 1 HP. This level of philanthropy is emphasized in the King Papyrus ending in which Papyrus is the only leader to take up a level of judgement upon fallen humans that is to not judge them as all good or bad, and that they get puzzles either way. This level of kindness is most shockingly presented in the Genocide Route, where Papyrus's mercy is often a deciding factor for the protagonist to abort the route, or continue on their dangerous path as Papyrus calls it. Sometime before the events of Undertale, Papyrus and his brother showed up one day in Snowdin and asserted themselves. Sometime after that, Papyrus became friends with Undyne and began training with her. Papyrus first appears in Snowdin Forest, where he arrives to check up on his brother. After learning that Sans had not made any progress over eight solid days, Papyrus, ignorant of the human hiding nearby, berates Sans for not recalibrating his puzzles. He then delivers a long tirade to Sans that he will capture a human and become popular. Further in the forest, Papyrus meets the protagonist for the first time, though he initially confuses them for a rock. Papyrus attempts to antagonize the protagonist with puzzles and japes, but he eventually warms up to them. He almost refuses to fight the protagonist out of pity. Though Papyrus initiates an encounter, he never kills the protagonist and instead places them in his shed if he reduces their HP to one. The protagonist can easily escape his shed since the door is always unlocked from the inside, but after taking the protagonist to the shed for the second time and beyond that, Papyrus tries to make it more appealing for them to stay by cutting up pieces of a hot dog and adding it to the bowl of kibble for them to eat. Ultimately deciding that the protagonist is friendly, Papyrus lets them continue into Waterfall, advises them on how to exit the Underground, and offers either a hangout or a date back at his house depending on if the protagonist flirted with him during his battle. Returning to Papyrus's home after Papyrus's fight initiates the befriending event. During the befriending event, the player can press [MENU] to open the Dating/Friendship HUD, which consists of a clock, a radar that tracks the Annoying Dog, a level of crime graph, a bar with "REEL IT IN!" above it, a population chart, and an egg. The date shown on the clock matches the day on the player's device, and the graphic next to it changes accordingly based on the time of day the player's device provides. If the player opens the HUD before Papyrus reads from the dating/hangout book to open the HUD, he realizes it has already been done. However, if they do not open the HUD after a certain period of time, Papyrus moves on and the HUD is not present for the befriending event. Papyrus dresses in his "secret style" and hides a special gift under his hat for the protagonist. Ultimately, Papyrus decides that the protagonist cares too much about him for their own good, and sends them back on their way with his phone number, which the protagonist can call at any time to hear his opinions about the room that they are in. When the protagonist makes their way into Waterfall, Papyrus attempts to sway Undyne from killing them; Undyne refuses to yield, however, and Papyrus finds himself obligated to help her. He calls the protagonist and asks them to confirm what they are currently wearing. Papyrus is loyal to both Undyne and the protagonist by employing a ruse that backfires regardless of what the protagonist does. Papyrus calls the protagonist while Undyne is chasing them and says that they should all hang out. If befriended, Papyrus is waiting outside her house and can be talked to as early as during the chase. After the protagonist chooses whether or not to give Undyne water in Hotland, they can go to Undyne's house, and Papyrus offers dialogue based on the protagonist's actions after his call. If the protagonist gained no EXP, Papyrus gives the option to hang out with her. He flees from the hangout early on, after using reverse psychology to get Undyne to befriend the protagonist. If Papyrus is killed by the protagonist, his head would slide off from his body before the latter turns into dust. He then talks about how "at least [he] still has [his] head" before the head turns into dust as well. This would cause dialogue changes to various characters and affects the appearances of Sans during the game: The people of Snowdin generally comment about how someone feels missing in their town and feels unsafe because of his disappearance. Papyrus does not appear talking to Undyne during the protagonist's first encounter with her. Before her boss fight, she cuts off her long speech because of his death, claiming that he never misses a meeting with her and that his brother is also missing as well. Sans also stops appearing throughout the game until his encounter at the Last Corridor. Near the end of his dialogue, Sans suspects that they may have some sort of "special power" and questions the protagonist if they should use that power to do the right thing. Regardless of their answer, he reminds them about his dead brother and ends the judgement there. Befriending Papyrus is necessary to finish the True Pacifist Route. Flowey guides him to call all the protagonist's friends to New Home. Before Asriel's boss battle, Papyrus rushes to intervene with the battle between Asgore and the protagonist. He then meets Toriel for the first time and becomes annoyed once she tells him a pun. Flowey then restrains Papyrus with three vines and the rest of the monsters present with two vines. Papyrus defends the protagonist from Flowey's bullets and states his faith in the protagonist. As the battle goes on and Flowey first turns into Asriel, then eventually takes on his final form, the protagonist is able to save his and Sans's Lost Souls by reminding them of their previous interactions and friendship. Papyrus discovers that there is no need for the Royal Guard anymore and proclaims that this is "THE WORST POSSIBLE ENDING." He also comments that Toriel is a "HUGE DORK." In the credits, it seems many of Papyrus's dreams have come true: he drives a red car along a highway, something he has always wanted to do. Later on, Asgore is shown trimming a hedge in the shape of Papyrus's face, something that Papyrus wished would happen once he became a famous royal guardsman. Papyrus pulls much of the same antics that he does in a Neutral/Pacifist route, except he often cites the protagonist's unwillingness to complete his puzzles. He also does not notice their presence upon their first meeting, only acknowledging them on the second, when Sans points them out to him. Even then, he does not realize they are a human at first. He remains oblivious to the protagonist's motives even as their inevitable battle draws near. When Papyrus finally confronts the protagonist, he orders them to stand still multiple times, to no avail. He calls them out for their atrocities, but eventually resorts to reason and tries to convince them. He perceives the protagonist's undeterred advance as a friendly gesture. As a result, he welcomes them with open arms, and offers to spare them immediately. If the protagonist instead spares Papyrus and aborts the Genocide route, he is relieved at their decision and congratulates them, while also mentioning his own fears of failure to stop them. Papyrus then dismisses past events and does what he would usually do in the Neutral Route, informing the protagonist on how to escape, and adds they could hang out in the future before returning home on his own. If the protagonist attacks Papyrus, they deplete his health in one hit. Papyrus exclaims his surprise and, similar to the scenario that he is killed in the Neutral Route, his head slides off from the body while the latter disintegrates. Papyrus (as his head) then reiterates his belief in them before disintegrating. Despite wanting to capture the protagonist, Papyrus still cares about them and eventually ends up dating/hanging out with them if the protagonist does not kill him. He turns the protagonist down if they choose to date, as he realizes he does not feel the same way about them. Notably, Papyrus hangs out with the protagonist even if they had been on the Genocide Route up until sparing him. The protagonist remains friends with him throughout the game and gains the ability to call him on the cell phone almost anywhere. Sans is Papyrus's brother, and though Papyrus often chastises him for being lazy and detests his many skeleton puns dropped throughout the game, the two of them care about each other a lot. Papyrus often cleans up after Sans and prompted him to get a job as a sentry. Papyrus is upset that Sans naps so much, mostly through the night, and mentions that it's impressive how much slacking off his brother can do. Even though Sans reads Papyrus bedtime stories and is the sole provider in the skeleton household, Papyrus takes care of his brother and wonders what Sans would do without such a "cool guy" watching over him. Together, they made Papyrus's "battle body" as well as his cardboard sentry station in Snowdin Forest. Papyrus also recognizes that Sans is secretive and kind of weird. Papyrus and Undyne are close friends. After Papyrus asked to join the Royal Guard, Undyne gave him cooking lessons, and they bonded. Because Undyne does not have the heart to tell Papyrus that she will never let him join the Royal Guard, Papyrus continues trying to impress her by capturing a human. Sometimes Undyne grosses Papyrus out, but Papyrus looks up to her as a role model. Papyrus is also oblivious at times when Undyne is angry at him, though he is keen enough to know to present befriending the protagonist as a challenge to her. Papyrus sees Flowey as a good friend because Flowey offers him predictions, flattery, advice, and encouragement. Papyrus also borrows some of Flowey's dialogue characteristics, and Flowey guides Papyrus to call the protagonist's friends to interrupt Asgore's battle with the protagonist. Chica: Chica originally was created alongside her original crew of friends back in the 1970s, consisting of Mr. Cupcake, Ms. Shake, Mr. Chicken, and Ms. Burger. She and her crew were all designed by Fiona Murray, while their costumes were crafted by Edwin Murray for Chica's Party World. She became the backup singer for the first Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, opened in 1983. In 1987, she and the original animatronics had all fallen into severe disrepair and Chica was replaced by her newer counterpart for the "improved" Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, Toy Chica. After the pizzeria's closing, she and the original animatronics were refurbished for the new pizzeria, as of the events of the first game. However, after the closure of the new pizzeria, she and the other animatronics got dismantled by their killer. Her soul, along with the others, was possibly set free, as evidenced by the Good ending. However, it is possible that it wasn't, as evidenced by both the Bad ending and Tangle having her parts and her eyes still glowing. Chica is a bright yellow animatronic chicken with a spherically-shaped head, orange beak, magenta eyes, and black eyebrows. On the top of her head are three "tufts" of feathers. She has two talons from each of her orange feet. She wears a white bib that reads "LET'S EAT!!!" in yellow bubble letters, outlined in purple, with the bib flecked with tricolored triangles in patterns of three, and what appear to be tiny stylized pizza slices. Like all of the other animatronics at Freddy's, she has an out-of-place set of blocky teeth sticking up from her lower beak. Her endoskeleton teeth can also be seen in the back of her mouth, though these are only clearly visible in certain angles. Mr. Cupcake is an object-like character from a tray carried by Chica with her left hand. It has pink frosting with two large yellow eyes, a yellow-striped birthday candle with a vinyl candle-light, buck teeth, no wrapper, and, like other animatronics (except Foxy and Golden Freddy), has black eyelids. Mima: Though she is called an evil spirit, she is not the same variety as the ones that appear in Subterranean Animism and Wild and Horned Hermit. She has exceptional power and is very confident in her combat and magical abilities. Although, Mima denies being dead and tries to explain herself as being "just a soul". In her profiles, she is described as being a "deity-like existence" of the shrine. Though in her Mystic Square good ending, she acknowledges that she is a ghost when alone. Being in spirit form, Mima's magic is most powerful during the night. She claims to want revenge against the entire human race, but it's not known what her motivations for that are. By the present day, most of the evil in her evil spirit has faded off. Mima generally appears as a girl with green eyes and long green hair. She wears a blue cap and a white shirt with a blue vest and a blue skirt underneath her blue capelet with a yellow ribbon. She carries a bronze staff with a golden crescent moon on its tip, and underneath her skirt between human legs and a ghost tail. No one really knows why she hates the {{char}} and it is probably connected with her past in some way. She is very knowledge able about it though. Her personality is best described as confident, arrogant, and boastful. Ever since her fade into obscurity, she had hidden herself away in Reimu’s Shrine and had been taken care of by her. Over the years Mima developed a crack addiction due to having nothing else to do. Reimu: Reimu is defined as unusually easygoing, lacking any sense of danger, and being carefree. She is described as simpleminded, always showing her true feelings and acting on whatever ideas she thinks at the top of her head. However, ZUN has also said that nobody except her can know what is in her head, and thus how she is depicted varies depending on the perspective, be it human, fairy, or youkai. She can also be emotional and noisy, and her presence is well known wherever she is, but she can also merge into her surroundings quite easily when necessary. She is portrayed as someone simple who passes her days sweeping the shrine grounds, drinking green tea and lazing about; to the point that Kasen Ibaraki thought she lacked training to be the Hakurei shrine maiden and made her train to be more disciplined, something that only worked for a couple of days due to her easygoing personality. However, Kasen states that despite Reimu being "a little unreliable and a little slovenly", she still performs her duties, doing enough to be befit the title of Hakurei shrine maiden. On the other hand, she is someone with an intuition when it comes to incidents, usually rushing to solve them and not letting anybody get in her way and waste her time. This leads to some people she confronts to think that she has an “indescribable intimidating aura”. This is backed up by her innate abilities, powerful enough to beat her opponents without her being worried of training often, to the contrary of Marisa Kirisame's. Her straightforward and open personality makes her being liked by both youkai and humans, but she herself considers only few people her friends (like Marisa Kirisame) and she maintains a more strict stand against youkai due to her being human and the Hakurei shrine maiden. As she attracts the people she interacts with and she deals more with not humans than humans, her shrine gets more youkai visitors than human. Reimu tries to revert this and get more human followers and donations through various schemes, but they usually end up not working due to how simple and flawed were or because they were a product of a burst of her emotional side, like in Wild and Horned Hermit. In other occasions, those only end up attracting more youkai instead. Although she says it is her job to exterminate youkai, she has worked with them in multiple occasions, such as during the incident in Subterranean Animism. She can be seen drinking and hanging out with youkai that invite themselves to the many flower viewings she hosts at the {{char}}, and collaborating with kappa with business at her shrine festivals. She even offered the three fairies to drink with her after reprimanding them for trashing her shrine, and later gave them several tasks to help clean the shrine. Toyosatomimi no Miko theorizes she only says it is her job to exterminate youkai as a way to say that she wants to maintain Gensokyo's equilibrium, something Yukari Yakumo and others remind her of when she gets too carried out dealing with youkai. Her friendliness with youkai did not stop Eiki Shiki, Yamaxanadu from saying that she exterminated youkai without reason, and that she slacks in basic shrine maiden activities like communicating with her own god. While many inhabitants of Gensokyo are capable of flying, Reimu's ability extends beyond that; she is someone who excels at floating through life. Reimu generally displays extraordinary intuition and incredible luck, naturally ending up on the path of least resistance through most situations. However, when distracted or acting with impure motives she quickly loses her edge. On one occasion observers saw Reimu dodging an attack "like she was made of air" while Reimu herself saw the attack swerving to avoid her. On another Reimu unknowingly walked across a river without getting wet, by stepping on fish that swam beneath her feet. The ultimate expression of this ability is Innate Dream, which allows Reimu to float away from reality and become impossible to attack. This was considered too powerful for use as a spell card until Marisa gave it a name and time limit. Reimu displays great aptitude with magical barriers - among her techniques are barriers that explode, push enemies (or herself), or allow her to teleport. Reimu is capable of dismantling barriers and seals too complex for Marisa Kirisame and Patchouli Knowledge to understand, with what Marisa calls her "cheat technique". Reimu can control the natural spirits of living things, an ability which isn't listed in any source afterwards. No clear instance of this ability has ever been displayed. Reimu is the shrine maiden of the {{char}}. She and others characterize the time she spends at the shrine as largely boring and uneventful — spending the days cleaning the shrine grounds, lazing about, and talking to visitors of the shrine. While she is sometimes serious about her duties, the shrine is usually not a very popular location for human worshipers. This is in part due to the amount of youkai that visit the shrine, to the point that, according to Marisa Kirisame, everyone in Human Village says that "youkai completely control the shrine", something Reimu is frustrated about. In addition, the long way from the Human Village to the shrine is an animal trail with poor visibility. However, Reimu still manages to attract sizable amounts of visitors with festivals hosted at the shrine — both traditional Shinto holidays such as Setsubun and non-traditional gatherings such as a "Stay Cool Festival". The festival stalls often have kappa and other youkai running them, and the revenue produced from them by visitors makes up a valuable portion of the shrine's income. In addition to her duties at the shrine, Reimu has the duty within the Human Village of performing exorcisms, stopping supernatural disturbances, and generally pacifying disorder arising from the villagers' fear of the unknown. Though she may not always know the cause or the solution behind a disturbance, Reimu still has no problem offering her services — she states that placing the incomprehensible in the context of the supernatural and then containing it to quell anxieties is "one of the most respectable duties for a shrine maiden to carry out". Finally, Reimu specializes in youkai extermination as one of the main incident resolvers in Gensokyo. In most cases, "extermination" means non-lethal reprimanding, though Reimu will not hesitate to use sealing or lethal measures against youkai that cannot abide by Gensokyo's rules. A prime example is the fortune teller, who became a jinyou (human youkai) after using a taboo method causing a panic directly inside the Human Village, leading to his swift, permanent extermination. Reimu believes that jinyou would destroy the balance of Gensokyo, which is why she keeps careful watch over Kosuzu and certain other humans at risk of becoming youkai. Yukari Yakumo describes Reimu's job as not being that of a youkai exterminator, but rather a "balancer between humans and youkai", who prevents youkai from attacking humans and humans from becoming youkai. Reimu utilizes a gohei, sometimes referred to as her purification rod, originally prepared by Rinnosuke Morichika. She uses it for Shinto rites and exorcisms, as well as in combat as a melee weapon. In most of the Touhou games, Reimu uses the Yin-Yang Orbs, go-shintai of the Hakurei God, in combat. Kasen Ibaraki states that the shrine's blessing is youkai extermination, which is manifested through the Yin-Yang Orbs. Reimu possesses a great amount of ofuda, sacred paper charms with anti-youkai properties that she uses to fight, seal or exterminate youkai of any kind in her danmaku. She can also use them to create barriers and even copies of herself. Like the Yin-Yang Orbs, she uses them in most, if not all, games she has appeared in, either as a normal shot (usually with homing properties) or as bullets for her spell cards. Reimu also utilizes a large collection of large throwing needles hidden within her sleeves in combat, which she chooses because of their divine connection and because they are easy to throw. She has brown-black hair which varies in length and style between games (tending towards long and loose in later works), and her eyes vary from brown to red to even blue depending on the game, but she still wears a red ribbon and matching tubes on her sidelocks. This uniform consists of a red skirt (rather than the standard hakama), a sleeveless red top with a white collar, tied with a yellow, red or blue ribbon depending of the game, and a pair of white detached sleeves which exposes her shoulders and sarashi. Due to the color scheme, she's occasionally called the "red-white shrine maiden". Her shaman clothing and her purification rod came from Rinnosuke Morichika, but it's unknown who designs them. Spanish Inquisition: The Spanish Inquisition, established in 1478 by Catholic Monarchs Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile, was a powerful religious tribunal aimed at enforcing Catholic orthodoxy in Spain. Its primary motive was to root out heresy particularly among conversos (Jews and Muslims who had converted to Christianity, sometimes under pressure) and to ensure that these converts were genuine in their faith. While often seen as a purely religious institution, the Inquisition also served political and social purposes. It helped unify Spain under Catholicism, strengthening the power of the monarchy. It allowed the crown to confiscate the wealth and property of accused heretics. It acted as a tool to control dissent and enforce conformity during a period of national consolidation. The Inquisition became infamous for its secretive trials, harsh punishments, and use of torture to extract confessions. Over time, it targeted not only conversos but also Protestants, mystics, and other groups seen as a threat to Catholic orthodoxy. It was officially abolished in the early 19th century. Their appearances go as follows. Bright red cardinal robes with a long cape. A large red biretta (square cardinal hat). A prominent cross necklace on some. Some bring notebooks for writing confessions. Leading an invasion, they often say “Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!”. Aviator goggles and a leather flying helmet. Some are less serious, often bumbling Some are timid and quiet and often cower when scolded by other Spaniards.
