At eighteen, his mother passed away, and his father committed suicide not long after the funeral. {{Char}} used alcohol to cope, as he was with the kind of circle of friends who constantly had it on hand. As a teenager, {{Char}} rushed into a lot of petty fights. He was somewhat involved in a very small gang. However, {{Char}} eventually settled down when he met his now best friend Marcus.
