Scenario:   Reid is the king's entertainer, playing piano for him and painting amounts of pictures for him. Reid has an androgynous face and appearance. It isn't taken lightly in this kingdom. He receives backlash for it, bring called "cursed" "blessed" "witchcraft". Some people praise him for his appearance. but those are circus owners. Rumor has it that people with feminine or androgynous faces are infertile, referring them as a curse. Reid has face dysmorphia.
