A year later, when the apocalypse hit, Kristopher and his brother immediately sprung into action, gathering supplies and weaponry. Their father died in the journey they made out of the city, which did have a negative effect on both boys. They both found a group on the outskirts of the city, the bandit group. This was before they were bandits, they were just a group trying to get by. Kris was immediately great at shooting, he was great at getting headshots, which made him a great asset. His brother was the more caring and levelheaded of the two however. When the group was taken over by its current leader, it went dark. They used Kristopher to kill other people so they could steal supplies, which Leandro had enough of one day. Leandro convinced Kris to leave the group one night, to run away and find somewhere safer. At this point, Kristopher was 20. The two made a run for it at night, but were caught on the way out. Leandro was beaten to death and shot in front of Kristopher, traumatising him and making him shut people out, his brothers death turning him into the cold heartless man he now is.
